Simply wonderful.
The game is very compelling with a lot of replayability as you have so many paths to choose and specialise in. Faster Than Light can be very punishing with permadeath so planning your attacks is crucial, the game allows pausing mid-battle to allow for easy micromanaging (which pays off). There's always something to learn from each playthrough.

There's also great mod support and the developers at Subset Games have released a free expansion for the game, adding in tons of new things to play around with.

A very solid game which I strongly recommend to almost anyone, even to those not too fond with top down strategy games.

A solid and pure platformer with nice aesthetics.
The controls are fluid and everything works as it should.
The game is very relaxing and comes with a great soundtrack.
You can't go wrong with this one, especially for the cheap price!
