The current season is to be believed as the worst season for toxicity, high queue times and smurfs as of yet. This will never end and only get worse as time goes on because it is a cycle. The higher elo player base is known to be more toxic as it is seen to be entertaining if you are a flamer, rager and whiny. The role models of league are showing the player base that they need to smurf to make the coolest montages and that they need to be toxic to be "alpha". This just makes playing at high elo insufferable and pushes these players to make alternate accounts to ruin 9 other players' games. This makes these players hate ranked and stop queueing ranked altogether or to continue ranked on either a smurf or their main account slowly becoming more toxic as they go up against many smurfs or toxic players. This issue is like a virus,. it starts off not that bad and just seen as something normal, until all the issues of "that other place" (diamond+) starts trickling down to the majority. This is an issue we should have dealt with long before it spread and now we are fighting a much harder battle against this virus.
