About Me

I'm an independent author specializing in psychological and folk horror. My debut novel, The Tenth Mark, is a slow-burn exploration of paranoia, small-town secrets, and ritualistic dread. My work focuses on richly atmospheric storytelling, morally complex characters, and the thin boundary between reality and nightmare. When I'm not writing stories designed to linger in the mind, I am often gaming or immersing myself in films and series that inspire my next descent into darkness.

My current project: The Lawrence Grimes Novels - Book two: The Witch Of Havens Peak.

When I first picked up Alien: Isolation on Xbox back in 2014, I wasn’t prepared for just how terrifying it would be. From the moment you step onto Sevastopol Station, the game makes you feel vulnerable and hunted. Unlike so many horror titles that rely on cheap jump scares, Isolation thrives on atmosphere, tension, and the terrifying unpredictability of its xenomorph AI. Streaming it on Twitch was almost as intense as playing it—the chat could feel my nerves every time the motion tracker blipped.

What makes this game unforgettable is the sense of dread it builds. The xenomorph isn’t scripted—it learns, it stalks, and it adapts. That unpredictability made every playthrough unique. Add in the retro-futuristic design faithful to Ridley Scott’s original Alien, the creaks and groans of the station, and the sheer helplessness of hiding under a desk while hearing heavy footsteps above you—Isolation nails survival horror in a way few games ever have.

I’ve beaten it multiple times on both Xbox One and PC, and each run still gets my heart racing. The game isn’t perfect—it can be long, and the androids (“Working Joes”) sometimes overstay their welcome—but the highs are so strong that they overshadow any flaws. Alien: Isolation remains, to me, one of the most genuinely terrifying games ever made, and one of the best adaptations of a film license into a video game.

A masterclass in survival horror. I can not wait for the sequil !
