My favorite games are story-rich open-world action RPGs (think Skyrim, Fallout, Witcher 3). I play story-rich action adventure games (God of War reboot, Far Cry 6), strategy games (Civ series), Interactive Films (Life is Strange) and can be lured into almost any genre by a game with a good, compelling story line or lots of good side quest story lines!

I also enjoy solving puzzles (to a limit) and psychological horror games. Stealth games with a story are also high on the list (Dishonored 2) - in RPGs, I tend to play a stealthy archer

As for genres that are not my thing: FPS/TPS games with no story/a boring story; survival horror (Resident Evil 6 didn't float my boat); games with zero plot/only sandbox play (Minecraft)
