Old, but great, and still in active development.

Simply a masterpiece, best ARPG since the original Diablo. A true (grim) labor of love. Enough said.

Pick a direction and run!

I always liked doing that in so called "Open world" games, but I would always at some point reach a point where the game world would end.

In Malevolence you can run forever, as long as you sidestep the occasional tree or rock. Trust me, there are no borders or invisible walls in this world, so good luck trying to find them. This game is truly infinite, and that is amazing for an explorer at heart like me.

This game just ticks so many boxes on my list of stuff I would like to see in an old-school rogue-like RPG that it is borderline ridiculous!

- Old-school turn-based grid movement and combat is just the way I like it.
- Truly infinite world, it's all about exploration. The world is infinite, yet static, meaning you can share a location you like with others, and they can seek out the same location in their game.
- Permadeath (optional). If you choose this option, when you die your save game goes puff. It adds a whole new dimension to the game, I love it.
- Magic system that allows you to create your own spells, yes Spellcrafting!
- Enchantment of armor or weapons, just as cool as the spellcrafting.
- Discover locations that nobody ever found before you, and make it to the found locations leaderboard:
http://www.malevolencegame.com/flagplant/flagplant_leaders.php
- Permadeath Leaderboard that can be found in every town.

I usually don't like playing hardcore or permadeath games, but in this game it just feels different to me. It adds an extra dimension to the game for me to play permadeath in Malevolence. It also feels great to see your name on the permadeath leaderboard in towns.

If you are an old-school RPG gamer like me and love endless exploration and dungeon crawling, this game is for you!

Path of Exile is truly an amazing game that just keep getting better and better.

The game is updated frequently, and there is constantly something new to try out.

Diablo 2 playstyle at its best.

3 acts so far, Act 4 will come within a month or two.

Best skill tree in any game.

It's dark, it's gory, it's gritty, love it.

Game is free, support is absolutely optional, there is no P2W elements to this game what so ever.

What more can you ask for?

Get it, and play the hell out of it.
