I see what they were trying to go for, but they didn’t do it well at all. It’s clunky, you can forget about any type of map or navigation, gameplay is abysmal, sounds are bad, and every single thing they implemented that makes it seem unique were ripped from other games that did them so much better. With the state of the game and lackluster update notes, this should’ve been an early access release at best.

It has it's issues, but for a Call of Duty game it's actually alright.

A fellow soldier next to me got clapped by a Germmie boy hiding in the trees and proceeded to lay on the ground screaming and I couldn’t help him because I wasn’t a medic

Bugs are one thing and progressively releasing content over time is another, but to charge me $60 for a partially finished game just to abandon it a few months later is a bit disrespectful

Early Access Review
Realistically, there's a lot of things you can do in VRChat. There's numerous games thanks to VRChat's Udon implementation, there's rooms used specifically for chatting and making friends, and it's a great way to introduce yourself to Unity's SDK in regards to making maps (worlds) or avatars (models).

However, unfortunately a large majority of VRChat's players hang out in their own groups on the same handful of worlds, so the likelihood of a new player experiencing the vast majority of VRChat while having others to experience with as well are slim to none.

The development of VRChat is also extremely poor and could use a substantial amount of optimization. Ryzen processors in particular have frame issues in the game. RAM leaks are notorious. Hackers and modders have the ability to easily ruin the game experience for all and will frequently do so. The list could go on and on.

If you enjoy VRChat and decide to advance to Unity SDK, you'll be disappointed. Tutorials are few and far between if you're looking to learn more than just the basics. VRChat also uses an outdated version of Unity which limits what the Unity SDK is fully capable of.

Graphics - 5/10 (Mediocre graphics far inferior to what Unity is capable of)
Audio - 0/10 (it's mostly just a voice enabled chat room)
Gameplay - 4/10 (Could be a lot better with active development)

I've owned this game since when it was included in The Orange Box. I haven't played it in awhile and decided to finally go back to it. In all honestly, the game is still very enjoyable to play. Valve did an excellent job mixing the cartoon-style graphics with a mildly competitive FPS experience. I would recommend this game, especially to people new to FPS games.
