UPDATED:
Best zombie survival game of all time. For me, it easily tops DayZ, Rust, Valheim—honestly any survival or zombie game that’s ever been out.

I’m hooked, and I’ve now put in 1000 hours—no question. This game just hits different. It actually makes you feel something, which most survival games don’t manage to do.

Whether it’s the tension, the atmosphere, or just surviving day to day, it pulls you in like crazy.

I’ve always hated over-the-head games, but this one does it perfectly. I completely looked past it and ended up falling in love. This game is raw, brutal, and everything I could ask for.

I mainly play solo and still get completely sucked in for hours—which is rare for me since I usually only play multiplayer survival games. I can’t stress enough how much I love it.

The level of detail is insane—from the water you drink, to food poisoning, to your health, traits, and attributes. Everything feels meaningful. I play a smoker…

Living my chain-smoker dream in-game fr.

They say it every time on the menu: “This is how you died.” And that’s exactly what it is. There’s no surviving forever. One slip-up, one bad decision, one wrong turn—and even the slow zombies will catch up eventually. The cockiness that comes from leveling a character up always catches up too… and losing it hits just as hard.

The longest I’ve survived was about 2–3 months on Build 41 with NPC mods. It was intense the whole time… but they finally got me. Slit my throat and I bled out faster than I could even bandage. That’s the kind of brutal, unforgiving experience this game delivers.

And the presentation deserves credit too—the graphics are honestly incredible in their own way, and the ambient music is beautiful. Everything fits the vibe perfectly and pulls you even deeper into the world.

I’m so excited for Build 42. The devs are doing everything we could ask for—small team but delivering peak. Everything in the new unstable build already feels amazing, and the fact they actually listen to the community is awesome. Taking community mods and ideas and turning them into real features—especially quality-of-life stuff—just shows how much they care.
