I was in 5th grade and some kid said he would pay $20 to anyone who could hit a shot from the half court mark on their first try. After watching a few kids fail, I stepped up and nailed it. First try. Afterwards the kid tells me he doesn't actually have $20 and just walks away. I was devastated.
