CielChan is an evolving desktop AI companion, with frequent updates improving performance, accuracy, and features over time.

CielChan starts mostly blank. Use her over time so memories and features can build up. Talk to her anytime, by voice or text. She remembers you, reacts to what you are doing, and becomes more familiar the more time you spend together. She is not something you simply open and close. She stays with you while you work, relax, study, browse, or play.

CielChan can run fully offline on your PC. Optional cloud AI and voice providers can also be configured by advanced users who want to use their own third-party services.

Optional online features are available for users who choose to configure them. When enabled, these features may send text, audio, image, chat, presence, or account-related data to the selected third-party service according to that service's setup and policies.

CielChan runs as a separate desktop companion and may have limited functionality while playing other Steam games, but works normally with applications and games outside of Steam.

CielChan uses generative AI to create real-time conversation responses and voice synthesis. By default, a local AI model generates text responses, and bundled TTS engines convert those responses to speech directly on your device.

All core functionality is fully available offline, and no internet connection is required to use the application.

Optional cloud-based AI and voice features are available for advanced users. When enabled, these features may send text or audio data to selected third-party providers using user-provided API keys.
