Starting to leave the borders of religion
Learning to fly higher, unlike a pigeon
Yielding to the pull of an unspeakable yearning
Trying to follow the flow, despite all this churning
Starting to leave the borders of religion
Learning to fly higher, unlike a pigeon
Yielding to the pull of an unspeakable yearning
Trying to follow the flow, despite all this churning
These little creeks called human love
Are but a shadow from above
Constrained to follow winding course
They draw the battle lines by force
Sometimes they’re joyful, sometimes dashed
Some seem so stable, others trashed
Threading his way through rocky zone
Right at the end, man feels alone

The path was narrow, hard to walk
There never was an end
Dark night and pains, no need to talk
God seemed so far away
The devil ‘s presence always there
To keep the pilgrim small
His darts of flame hurt deeply, though
His threats they oft appall

In Him there’s all that we might need
There’s wisdom and all thought or deed
To lead us through this earthly life
Which sometimes turns out inner strife
……………………………………………………………..
We’re torn between His life and self
If self does reign, He’s put on shelf.
To make us see that we are wrong
God gives us subtle signs or strong
……………………………………………………………..
At first, we find we’re restless soon
We’re worried, nervous, there’s no swoon
No peace, no joy, it’s over now
Where is the hope we’d found somehow?

This world is circling around itself Self of man is captured within God's wisdom has been put on the shelf That gathers dust to cover sin Circumstances decide decisions Disaster seems to have gained control No knowledge of God, no real visions No real summer before the fall Continue reading
Don’t let us be anxious
The Lord is at hand
He cares for the living
The dead and those banned
From taking a stand
Against Satan’s devices
Of tricky lie’s brand
Which, cut into slices
They could understand
And see they’re kept under
The devil’s control to fit
Into systems they should rather quit

Walking toward the light together “…that you should show forth the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.” – 1 Pt 2:9 KJ 2000

There is a place deep in our hearts
That knows no pain or fear
Troubles may come, troubles may go
This dwelling place stays clear
Of filthiness and awkward pose
Of all that is confused
Oh, and this place is secretly
Our home where we are fused
With Him who’ll meet in privacy
When time and place are right
While our longing to be one
Will be His own delight…
Strength comes from knowing
Not from knowing that much
But from knowing the One
Who with Heaven’s sweet touch
Transforms life and longing
That was earthly and bound
By fears, grief, and sorrow
Which are truly profound
Once upon a time there was a King who had a Son
And His beloved Son withal was His only one
They erst lived far away in a realm of only day
Where Light is, Love and everything
Of which no human could have dreamed
Delight and bliss, no dark shade there
But one day they said, “We will share
Our divine life with man on earth
Through incarnation and new birth.”
