Love is a Stream

These little creeks called human love

Are but a shadow from above

Constrained to follow winding course

They draw the battle lines by force

Sometimes they’re joyful, sometimes dashed

Some seem so stable, others trashed

Threading his way through rocky zone

Right at the end, man feels alone

In Him

IMG_20200508_150931

In Him there’s all that we might need

There’s wisdom and all thought or deed

To lead us through this earthly life

Which sometimes turns out inner strife

……………………………………………………………..

We’re torn between His life and self

If self does reign, He’s put on shelf.

To make us see that we are wrong

God gives us subtle signs or strong

……………………………………………………………..

At first, we find we’re restless soon

We’re worried, nervous, there’s no swoon

No peace, no joy, it’s over now

Where is the hope we’d found somehow?

…………………………………………………………….

Life Beyond Circumstances

This world is circling around itself

Self of man is captured within

God's wisdom has been put on the shelf

That gathers dust to cover sin

Circumstances decide decisions

Disaster seems to have gained control

No knowledge of God, no real visions

No real summer before the fall

There is Hope of Redemption Ahead

There is hope of deliverance ;-) (Photo by Susanne Schuberth)

There is always hope…

Like a light in the dark
That leaves merely a spark
So is hope not in vain
Although all goes insane

If God puts to the test
Those to who’ll manifest
His great love and goodwill
So you see time stands still

What remains at the end of the day?

Looking for new sense of life
We see humans torn in strife
Trying to squeeze out what’s new
Hoping that they’ll score a coup

Be it fame or riches now
Climbing up the ladder – wow
From above the world looks good
Jealous is the neighborhood

Hope In the Midst of Suffering

So slowly in the course of years
Though filled with joy, yet full of tears
The soul was peeled like onion’s skin
Sometimes all health was wearing thin

Through darkness and thick foggy clouds
The Surgeon’s scalpel exposed doubts
Which hindered her to trust in Him
And made her vision grow so dim

No human being loves the pain
But suffering is not in vain
When healing follows in the dawn
After the night through which she’s drawn

Into a morning, not yet known
Where seeds of life that have been sown
Through divine hands of Him who sees
The outcome of His planted trees

Will show their fruit which grown in dark
Begin to gleam and leave a spark
Inside her eyes that saw the One
Whose light shone brighter than the sun…

Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
