In His Heaven …

I soak in the sun

I  caress the breeze

I listen to the whispering

of the leaves 

I look around at the mountains tall

 and the snow covered trees

glistening in the sunlight

they all seemed to call

and fill me with wonder

 Did I switch place with God 

or  was I blessed to enjoy

His  splendid abode

just for a moment…..

The evening sunset on the beach...

Words fail to escape me

as I feel  your warm gaze

pierce through my soul

coaxing my heart 

to throb like

it has never before …

And just like the

soft  sheet of snow

that  melts under the ardor

of the glistening  morning sun

I too wish  to melt away ,

to  evaporate into the void

and yet be alive

within You….

in all your heart beats………

The following picture  of Mt Everest and the surrounding ranges , was taken on a Mountain Flight in Nepal . The mountain flight is an enthralling experience , which allows us to get  up close , with the Himalayas ,  including the Mt Everest .

This  one hour long flight  , provides one with a luxurious Himalayan experience.  Mountain flights are offered by several airlines in the morning from the domestic airport in   Kathmandu . Flights from Kathmandu reveal the  Eastern Himalayas  , while flights from  Pokhara , take you on a bird’s eye view of the Western Himalayas .

We took the Buddha Air flight from Kathmandu and had a great experience viewing the Himalayas , being informed from times to time about the various ranges by the  co-pilot .

 This flight is should certainly feature on your ‘To-Do’ list , on a visit to Nepal . It still remains  as one of the most memorable experiences of our lives  , even though it has been some years now !

The night is ominous…dark and still

The snow , makes me cold ,makes me quiver ;

The crisp , frosty wind  , bites into my ‘will’

to flee the  ruthless , dark hours , hither..

My feet are numb , my face pale;

But I trudge , I plod , I scamper on…

My heart beat slows ,my lungs about to fail ;

Till I recall the day my daughter was born..

A sudden gush of oxygen fills my veins ;

and my heart begins to throb again…

I will live through this , ignoring my pains ;

I shall not  allow my vigor to drain.

I need to get back to my cozy home ;

to see them smile – my spouse and daughter ,

 Now, come what may , wind or storm..

No enemy can  , my hopes deter !

My eyes now gleam ,with  happy tears ,

my heart overflowing with  love and warmth ;

Till I finally overcome my unknown fears…

And am safely back – to my home , my hearth !
