"I'm on a boat motha"...yeah I'll pass on finishing that lyric...

So a couple weeks ago I went on a pretty sweet vacation with my friends, a seven day Caribbean cruise to be exact.  I know jealousy is brewing within you, but try to withhold your hate for us while I give a brief recap of our journey.

Friday, March 13th
Tiff, myself, Brady, and Shaun began our journey, very early in the morning I might add, to meet up with Sierra in Fort Lauderdale.  Sean, Tiffany's boyfriend, was nice enough to wake up at the butt-crack of dawn to take us to the airport.  Once in Fort Lauderdale we met up with Sierra at our hotel and spent the day exploring our surroundings on foot (making the trek to Winn-Dixie), then by taxi when we were too tired to make the journey home.

Saturday, March 14th
"Let the wild rumpus start!" After months of planning, the day we'd been waiting for had finally arrived!  We boarded the ship early, and met up with Creighton and Michelle to complete our posse.  We spent the day exploring our ship, The Ruby Princess, enjoying the perk of endless free food, Shaun and I sang karaoke (he sang "Beat It, I sang "I Wanna Dance with Somebody"), and we all went dancing at Skywalkers.

Sunday, March 15th
This was our first day that was spent entirely at sea.  We spent the day working on our tans (to make people at home in freezing cold Utah jealous of course), and had our first formal night.  Shaun was invited back to sing "Beat It" again, only this time dressed up as Michael Jackson.  One word..awesome!

Monday, March 16th

Ya man! Our first excursion was this day in Jamaica.  We went zip-lining through the canopy, which was pretty dang sweet.  Our driver on the way up the mountain, Joe, was quite an entertaining individual and was pretty impressive behind the wheel of our little van.

We also enjoyed some time with the locals at the little bar/gift shop they brought us to after, and then walked around town on our own.  The night brought more karaoke entertainment with Shaun singing Elton John, and me singing Christina Aguilera.

to be continued...

Bliggidi-Bloggidi-Boo (Get it? It's like Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo...no? Well this is awkward.)

I've never been one that is good at this whole blogging thing, my writing is sporadic at best due to my aversion to blogging in general, but with the recent and upcoming "adventures" I have going on it has been requested of me (by friends and family) to keep up some kind of narrative so they can keep updated while I am away. Not one to want to disappoint here is said requested blog.

My life is in a state of flux right now. I just completed my bachelors degree (a day I thought I'd never see at one point) and am getting ready to leave in three weeks to study abroad in London. I also just returned a couple weeks ago from a cruise with my friends that was by far one of the sweetest vacations ever. Needless to say life is pretty dang good right now, with the exception of a couple hiccups. While there is definitely some anxiety about going out on my own, and sadness in leaving this portion of my life behind, I'm excited about all the possibilities that are before me.

So, without further introduction, let the "adventures" begin.
