What an Act of Citizenship looks like…..

May 24, 2008

Ambassador Joe Wilson’s very entertaining talk on Neocons, America, patriotism, and Republican traitors:

  • And here’s the rest in order:
  • Part II
  • Part III
  • Part IV
  • Part V
  • Amazing the ‘Boyz on the Blogz’ don’t have time for this. I guess Sister Beezlebub’s plan to have Senator Obama assassinated is taking all their time and attention.

I’ve met Joe Wilson and talked with him. Every American should be proud that we have such men, and women like him, to stand up for our nation’s principles overseas and increasingly important…..

…..here against the face of Fascism which has taken root in our soil and bids to block out the sun of liberty were it not for such as Joe Wilson.

Take a look in the mirror tomorrow morning and ask yourself, ‘What do I intend to do to support such as Ambassador Wilson in the fight against American Fascism, wherever it may be found? What is my answer to B. Franklin’s question?’
Because folks, like it or not, your answers to those questions will determine if you children live free or as slaves.

This Speaks for Itself. The Message is Unacceptable to me. What Say You?

    April 16, 2008

First listen to this admitted war criminal spew lies…..

Then go here to speak out…..and demand that the national media do the same!

Or prepare to live as slaves of  the corporate state.

As it happens the vile Yoo…..

    April 11, 2008

…clever scumbag that he is does not belong to the California Bar Association. Nor is he licensed to practice law in the State so my plan has no leverage. There is however on group of individuals whom have a say in all this. The most august Faculty Senate of the University of California at Berkeley, my cherished alma mater. They can cast the insane Woo from his perch as Professor at UCB’s Boalt Hall School of Law should they so choose. There is a link to email the chair. If you do so be polite and marshal some arguments for them to use. Bloviating  ain’t gonna get it done.

There is one individual member of the faculty who has expressed his internal conflict about Woo’s presence at Berkeley. This would be Professor of Economics Brad DeLong whose blog Grasping Reality is an excellent example of the academic blog.

I recently commented in a thread about Greek plays, that’s where the opening quote comes from as follows:

    Some mindfulness
A man should surely keep, of any thing
    That pleased him once.

Yes, I have that ‘mindfulness’ of my days at Berkeley circa 1965 to 1971 when such a one as ‘Professor’ John Woo would have been driven from the hallowed vale that is Berkeley by an enraged community.

Sadly, as the ancients so correctly lamented the men of today are but pygmy’s compared to the giants of yesterday.Lost to them, it would seem, the moral outrage that gave birth to our nation, our society.

Is there no one on the faculty who feels the sting and shame of associating with the creature Yoo?

Is there not one amongst you who will stand up and demand he be cast forth?

    Sadness……

    A. Citizen

This man is struggling to be on our side and if you do contact him please be nothing but polite.

I have not and will not give up on my campaign to send Yoo packing. Next up is research on whether his work can get him expelled under Faculty Senate rules. If you have any ideas…send ’em along.

George W. Bush The Greatest Conservative President in American History.

    June 30, 2007

George W. Bush the ‘Greatest Conservative President in America’s History’. Can there be any doubt about my simple statement? I think not. From his tender beginnings as ‘President Death’ on to his great performance as ‘The Banality of Evil’ this vicious little psychopath has always had a knack for getting folks to ‘misunderestimate’ him.

His talent for decisive judgment gave us The MeatGrinder. His fantastic skills delegating responsibility showed, in the end, the people of New Orleans just how useless his administration was. His fabulous plan to ‘save Social Security’ was…well, nobody bought into it. His initial decision to let Mr. FourthBranch be his V.P. was perhaps his greatest conservative achievement leading to….

    The Valerie Plame Affair.

The NSA listening in to everyone’s phone calls and tracking all their credit card purchases.

    The Suspension of Habeas Corpus.

But ‘The Greatest’ was solely responsible for all that was he not?

    No

    He was most definitely not.

He just the vile sockpuppet for the ‘conservative’ movement. As nasty a hodgepodge of racists, nativists, xtian cult members and RWAs. All led by a coalition of ‘conservative’ think-tanks funded by the uber-rich the folks who own 40% of everything. Yeah, homer….everything.

The folks who have in effect brought back slavery in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Courtesy of Jack Abramov’s ‘House of Thieves’. Note that they are all members in good standing in The ‘Conservative’ Party. Which party is working on it’s latest scheme to make the importation of slaves into the continental United States where they can be used to drive your wages down to….well, how would you like to be making the minimum wage buddy? And then have your paycheck bounce.

Yes, the ‘Conservative’ Party led by their lying punkass MSM mouthpieces, some of them direct descendents of the movements founders, who wouldn’t know real work or how to solve a problem if either of those things bit them in the ass hard enough to send blood spurting. But these same ‘pundits’ can talk for hours about how victory for them and their Lame Duck President is just six months, and 500 more dead Americans, around the corner down the road.

You and I know all this.

The important thing now is to make sure the American people see this ‘conservative’ conspiracy for what it truly has been and will be:

The most dire threat to our nation since the civil war.

Now just who are you going to believe? Me or your lyin’ eyes…Or maybe the ‘Tehhahist’ Luvin’ Democrat Party?

    March 25, 2007

    ‘Thas
right boy ya doin’ yerself proud there…’

Is there, as ‘Abu Graib’ Gonzales, or ‘Smiler’ as I like to call his punk ass, insists, a perfectly reasonable explanation for Purgegate? I guess there might be, but there are sure an awful lot of reasons to be skeptical. Here’s a list off the top of my head:

    1. Prior to the purge, DOJ lawyers quietly inserted a clause in the Patriot Act that allowed them to appoint new U.S. Attorneys without Senate approval. Why did they do this when their own emails show that the existing system hadn’t caused them any problems?

    2. They fired eight USAs at once. This is wildly unprecedented. Why did they feel the need for such an extensive sweep?

    3. None of the eight were given a reason for being fired.

    4. DOJ initially lied when asked why they were fired, chalking it up to “performance reasons” even though five of the eight had previously received reviews placing them in the top third of all USAs. Why lie if there’s an innocent explanation?

    5. Five of the eight were either aggressively prosecuting Republicans or else failing to prosecute Democrats to the satisfaction of local politicians. Coincidence?

    6. David Iglesias reported that he received case-related calls from Heather Wilson and Pete Domenici shortly before the midterms. He believes the calls were intended to pressure him into indicting some local Democrats before election day. He didn’t, and a few weeks later he was fired.

On a similar note, the day after Carol Lam notified DOJ that she was planning to expand the Duke Cunningham investigation, Kyle Sampson emailed the White House and told William Kelly to call him so he could explain the “real reason” he wanted to get rid of Lam. What was the real reason that he didn’t want to put in email?

    7. When DOJ released thousands of pages of emails last week, there was a mysterious 18-day gap from a period shortly before the firings were announced. This seems like precisely the period during which there would have been the greatest amount of email traffic. Where are the emails?

    8. The email dump contained virtually nothing from before the firings discussing the reasons for targeting the eight USAs who were eventually fired. Surely there must have been such a discussion?

    9. DOJ has now had weeks to come up with a plausible story for the firings and they still haven’t. This is truly remarkable. Why not just tell the truth? That doesn’t take weeks to concoct.

All this from one blogger Kevin Drum.

    Makes ya wonder don’t it?

‘Every tree with it’s own ReThug cat!’ Yow! This could get pretty interesting.

    Hunter beat me to it!

    March 6, 2007

Hunter has written the post I was thinking on…..

No matter he’s a great progressive and a very good writer indeed. Here’s a sample of today’s post titled Weeks not Months:

‘Let me try and make something clear to the Democratic members of the House and Senate. There’s a world of hurt coming your way, and time is running out.’

That’s exactly right. He goes on to say, bold by me, that:

‘Quit jockeying for position among yourselves. Quit expecting ultraconservative apologists to offer anything more than plans to get more people killed and call it "progress". Quit expecting anything but another two years of incompetent buffoonery from the Bush administration. Quit expecting bipartisanship. Quit expecting miracles that haven’t come for three years, and aren’t just over the horizon now. And quit expecting patience.’

My favorite part is near the end:

‘You have no idea how much raw fury there is out there, just under the surface. And all the "Democratic apologists" like me are on our very last ounce of patience, and all the grassroots supporters have torches lit and and at the ready, and all the Democrats and Republicans in your district are watching to see whether you’re really different from the Republicans or not, and all the troops in Iraq are waiting to see if you can provide an ounce of leadership.’

Go read the whole thing. It’s not just rant; there’s a whole raft of good ideas on how we can actually get out of the hole President Idiot has dug for us. Read it and stay tuned.

You see, I’m part of that mob pictured above and I’m gonna pitchfork me some ‘Spineless Dems’ right soon if’n they don’t git off their Armani suited asses.

    Weeks, not months.

    Regarding the ’08 Election Hype

    February 24, 2007

I found this on the internet somewhere, and wanted to reprint it as originally written:

“do you really think the “powers to be” are going to let the people in this country elect anyone who will have the courage to disband the Federal Reserve, truly investigate the perpetrators of 9/11 and insure that each vote cast is counted as it was cast.
the system is so corrupt that the only possible meaningful change would be to vote out of office all incumbents. Then to institute term limits and public funding of all federal elections.”

    I think this guy’s on to something…
