What a GREAT week!!!

Me and my roommate agreed on this today, that this has been one of the nicest and best weeks we have had here! Last Sunday we had Ward Conference, and our stake president gave us such a great talk about apostles and prophets. And then on Tuesday, one of the apostles came to talk to us. Russell M Nelson gave devotional about getting an education, and how it is a religious responsibility. It was so great! Then on Thursday, our ward did baptisms here in the Rexburg Temple. Me and my roommates left at 5:30 in the morning! The entire chapel was full, more people than seats! A member of the temple presidency gave us a little talk in the chapel and then we went ahead and did baptisms. Then today, we had a fireside with another apostle. First we heard from Elder Pace and Elder Chambers, both of the 70, and then M Russel Ballard talked to us! All of these talks were amazing, and it just got me really pumped up!

I love being a member of this church and I LOVE going to this University where I can be embraced with church all the time. I know that this church is true, and I know that everything the apostles said to us is true! They both sent us love from the Prophet and the First Presidency! I know that they love us and I love them! What a great church!

Ok so this picture was taken forever ago, not in 2005... not sure why it says that, but like in October 2009... Anyway, that's me and Kalie... and tonight we have been acting crazy together We both are super giggly and hyper and spazzy!!! We have been talking like forever about the silliest stuff... quoting movies and TV shows, planning future valentines dates, and just being silly! We have way too much fun together, and I love her! :) Yay for fun roommates!!!

Park City + Gilbert

So as the last post said, I got to go to Park City this week to spend time with my family (most of them, we missed you Angell!) and to go snowboarding. I really wanted to go out both on Friday and Saturday, and I left my apartment really early Friday morning so that I would get there at a good time to go out. Once I got to Park City the family was just gearing up to go out, I had made it in perfect time. But I wasn't feeling too great, so I tried to take a couple of pills, and the next thing I know I was throwing them and everything up. I was so sick! So everyone went out without me that day. I took a little nap and ate a little bit and started to feel better. Friday was fun, but I really wanted to go boarding. But then Saturday came, and it was the best day ever! Keri, Natalee and I all went out together and stayed out forever. We were the first people out and the last people in that day. We went all over the mountain, doing all different runs. I was so happy that the weather was beautiful, and the snow wasn't too terrible! I had probably one of the best days I have ever had on a mountain before! Then we came in and like every Saturday in Park City we ate some Papa Murpheys pizza courtesy of Uncle Todd's family! (thanks you guys!!!) And then we got some chocolate from the chocolate factory, and then we hung out and watched some football. Cardinals = sucked! haha

So while we were watching the game I made a comment on how I didn't want to go back to Rexburg, so my dad suggested that I drive down to AZ with him on Sunday, spend Monday in Gilbert, and then go back on Tuesday. So I did! haha. It actually ended up being great because Kyle was so sick and in and out of the emergency room and my dad was just so tired because of that and a week of skiing, that he couldn't have made the drive by himself. So I kept him awake, and we listened to a 4 plays. Wicked, Les Miserables, Saturdays Warriors, and Hairspray. We also listened to Brooke White, Kris Allen, Benton Paul, and Taylor Swift. It was a fun road trip, and it was all worth it when I got home and watched American Idol! I have sure missed that show! :) Anyway, I am waking up first thing in the morning, flying to Salt Lake, and then driving back to Rexburg, where I will have a few hours to do laundry, homework, and then go to class! What a great week it has been! I love my family so much! Perfect way to break a home-sick feeling... go home! I love that I had this opportunity to come home for a day, even though I live 1000 miles away! :)

Snowboarding

My very first snowboarding class starts tomorrow!!! I am so excited!!!! Possibly this is one the main reasons I didn't stay in AZ for school... I WANT TO SNOWBOARD!! I get all super excited just thinking about it!!! AHHH..... Here is a pic of my snowboard, now just imagine that with super cute white bindings and you've got it made! The left one is the top and the right is the bottom!

So anyway, what I am even MORE excited about than snowboarding tomorrow in Wyoming is snowboarding this weekend in PARK CITY!!! I didn't think I would be able to go with my family this week to our annual Park City trip, but alas, I got someone to cover my shift on Friday, and Monday is a holiday from school and work, so I have a whole 4 days off!!! I was even thinking about ditching my classes on Thursday night and going up Thursday afternoon, but when I brought up that idea with my dad he didn't seem too thrilled about me ditching classes. So I will attend all my classes this week, and be a good little student, and then drive down to PC Friday morning!!! AHHHH... Just a few more days 'til I'm here....

Brooke White Concert!!!

I love going to a church school! All my favorite LDS celebrities come here! First was Kirby Heyborne, and then DAVID ARCHULETA, and now Brooke White!!! It was a way fun concert. I dragged my roommies because I didn't want to go alone and they never really heard her before, and since the concert they have been listening to her cd non-stop! Its so good btw! So ya, we sat in row 14, and I idn't have the greatest view of her, but I could still see her if I just tilted my head a little. Plus she was on the big screens so I could see her there! It was such a good show, and then we met her afterwards.
