THE PINK SUNSET

I seldom see sunsets. Our house faces east. Sunsets get lost behind a neighbor's house and some of our biggest trees on the west side of the property. One night, though, the sky turned a truly lovely pink with shots of gold in the clouds -- on the east-facing side. I suppose it had to … Continue reading THE PINK SUNSET

I’VE LOOKED AT CLOUDS FROM BOTH SIDES NOW

One sunset evening, as the sun was setting over the Housatonic River in Connecticut, the sky went wild. If you stood on the dock and rotated, there would be a different color and formation of clouds in each degree of turning. I've never seen a sky like that before. WEEKEND SKY #133

Weekend Sky #133 – Sep 29th This unusual arrangement of clouds only appeared once. There was an angle between the falling sun and the clouds that made everything burst into color. It hasn't happened again. I'm glad we pulled off the road to catch the photograph.

NEW BRIGHT SQUARE IN WAKENING APRIL

PINK

Nature Photo Challenge #3: Pink Flowers, sunset and dawn -- all very pink. Our weather is pretty much the same. Chilly, damp, cold, unappealing. Spring will come none too soon!
