Flower of the Day – Larkspur/Delphinium

These are commonly called Larkspur, but also are known as Delphinium, and are a medium tall flower with deep purple/blue petals. They also can be pink. The pretty little petals are stacked up on the stem.
I always loved these, as my mom always had them in the yard.

Thought I’d combine two challenges today. A 2 Z challenge is letter W, and I have some Whimsical flowers with little added decorations for Terri’s Flower Hour challenge:

Just a cute bouquet of yellow and pink flowers, and a little laughing llama decoration.

Here’s a sweet little bouquet made up of white with pink tinged daisies and an orange artificial butterfly decoration.

I saw these in the refrigerated case at the store. It has a pink ice cream cone decoration in with the bouquet. The flowers look like mums, and are white and yellow, with touches of blue and pink.

I have this thing I do every night while I’m trying to fall asleep. I get all settled, then pick a topic and go down the alphabet, A to Z listing everything I can think of for that subject.
Sometimes it will be flowers, like this one above.
Sometimes it will be car (automobile) names
or candy, or song titles, or band names, or book titles, or animals.
I sometimes don’t get very far down the alphabet before I’m already asleep.
Does anyone else do this?

An article says: Cyclamen (Cyclamen persicum) is a petite flowering plant that has sweet-scented, small blooms on long stems that stretch up above the foliage.
Pink Cyclamen flowers in containers for sale.
There were flowers on the old fashioned, wooden wagon at the store. Looks like people have been buying them, as there weren’t many left. Next photo is a closer look at one. Pink and white blossoms and green leaves below, in a container.
