1. What is the difference between Biweekly and a Fortnight? … Not sure of either of these, but I think they are newspapers, one for morning and one for evening?


2. How much oil would your lantern need to last a fortnight? … 
Well, I’m not good at math, so let’s just say you’d need as much as the container would hold, one cup’s worth?


3. If you spent a fortnight in Paris, what would you see? … I’ve been to Paris France and saw the airport, I’ve lived in Paris TX and saw my house and neighborhood.

 4. What’s the difference between a microchip and a micro chip? Huh? One of these words is smushed together, the other is divided into two words. One you can eat and one you better not eat. Decide wisely! 


5. What’s brown, shiny and sizzles? … pancakes


6. How is the best way to make lemonade? … buy it in a grocery store already in the jar.


7. How many types of coke are there? … All soft drinks are cokes here in TX. We say we want a coke then tell the waitress what kind of coke we want.


8. Why was a sundae glass so named? … It was invented on a weekend Sunday.


9. What is hellsapoppin? … Hot popcorn that is being made at the movie theater.


10.What did the Knights of the Round Table do during the day? … They ate and feasted at a square or oblong table.

1. What is a tandem? … I believe this is a protest march demonstration of people against sun tans.

2. What is a periwinkle? … This is a funny name for just a certain type of British boots for men.

3. What’s the difference between a pitcher and a ewer?  … A pitcher is a pretty thing you hang on the wall, and a ewer is where waste water goes down the drain.

4. Who was Penelope Pitstop? … Might be the waitress/owener of a famous diner where celebrities eat.

5. What is pigeon toed? … This is a funny frog with long toes.

6. What is a toupee? … This is a canvas tent.

7. What is carrion?  … This is a song title from the band Kansas – ‘carrion my wayward son’

8. What is a milkshake? … I’ve heard this describing a herd of cows in an earthquake.

9. What is a cockle? … This is a cute little doggie – part cocker spaniel and a poodle

10. What is a chouz bun?  … This is a two sided bread roll, half is plain, half has sesame seeds on it. You get to chouz which side to eat.

1. What is a board room? … This is a section of a home improvement store where the lumber for sale is kept.

2. Who usually has The Chair?  … A prison execution room

3. What are minutes? … Tiny little bugs that get on plants and  people

4. What is a projector used for? … It’s the spotlight used at night in helicopters while chasing criminals

5. What is a CEO? … This stands for Check Everything Over before you publish a blog post, to correct typos

6. What is a ‘stand alone?’ … This is that wise old guy on top of a mountain giving advice  to those who climb up there.

7. What is a portfolio? … This is when you fall down, but try to let people know you meant to do that

8. What is an agenda? … This is a tossed salad with lots of different things in the bowl

9. What is a ‘sea of faces’? … So creepy!!!! It’s all the fish in the sea staring up at you with their big unblinking eyes!

10. To what does ‘any other business’ refer? This means there’s good gossip going around town

5. Peristeronic … This is what kids do to pester their parents for buying them candy or toys. 


6.  Limerence: … The study of the citrus fruit called Limes

7.  Sonder: … This is a job on a movie set that controls the sound engineering during filming.

8.  Vellichor:  … This is one half of a twin’s circus act. Velli is a dog tricks act. The Chor Brothers

9.  Petrichor: …This is the  other half of the twin’s circus act. Petri is a cat trick act.  The Chor Brothers

10. Lugubrious: … This is the act of chewing a big wad of bubble gum, getting ready to blow a big bubble.

4. Cattywampus: … In kitty circles, this is the currency they use for dues to the club.

5, Bungle: … This is a basket of fresh bread rolls you get served in a restaurant before the meal.

6. Anachronism: …. These are elderly spiders. They are past being spinsters, as they can’t spin webs any more.

7. Serendipity: … This is a chain of specialty frozen yogurt shops.

8. Paroxysm: … Witty comments from parrots.

9. Solivagant: … This is used to unstop a toilet.

10. Glossolalia: … This is a kind of paint, or enamel used to put a shine on a wall.

2. What is a vagabond? … This is those covered wagons used in pioneer days.

3. What is an anagram? … This was the first prototype of the later Telegram business.

4. What is cribbage? … This is an old baby bed that is broken and tossed in the trash heap.

5. What is protocol? … This is a combo vegetable such as cabbage and broccoli in one plant.

6. What is subterfuge? … This is when a pan of chocolate fudge goes wrong and is syrupy and you eat it with a spoon.

7. What is rummy? … This is what you say when your pan of fudge goes wrong … “Oh rummy, my fudge is runny”

8. What is a grammy? … This is a short, fun way of saying graham cracker

9. What is an archive? … This is something unexpected you find in a library book left there by someone else.

10. What is infamy? … This is when all the family gets together for a holiday meal in one home.

Mixed batch this week, not all Easter related I might add!

1. Why do we have Easter Eggs? … They are handy when writing novels as a fun item to look for in the story plot.

2. What makes a Hot Cross Bun? … To make a Bun hot and cross take away his carrots.

3. Why do we have a bunny at Easter? … They remind people to play and have fun. Let the turtles plod along.

4. In which country did the Easter Bunny originate? … I heard it was the Easter Islands.

5. How many decorative balls are conventionally on a Simnel cake? … I’ll guess 20?

6. What is a can? … This is the opposite word of can’t.

7. What is a can-can? … This is the kid’s telephone game using two tin cans and a string.

8. What is a cantaloupe? … This means a couple who want to be married should wait and have a big party, not run away

9. What is a canister? … This is a female relative, a sister.

10 . What is a candelabra? … This is costume for a showgirl.

I’m recycling my questions from July 2021 this week. What do you make of these?

1. What is a skiff? … This is a short cigarette – any kind

2. What is a liner? … You put pretty paper on the shelves of your cabinet or drawers

3. What is a ferry? … A young ferret

4. What is a destroyer? … Cats claws ripping up the furniture

5. What is a cruiser? …  A person who runs marathons at a steady pace

6. What is a galleon? … This is a winning hand in Poker

7. What is a pedlow? … This is the stairs leading down into the basement

8. What is a kayak? … It is a word that is the same spelled  backwards or forwards. Oh wait that’s not a fib, that’s the truth.

9. What is a schooner? … This is when a kid skips going to school, he’s taking a schooner.

10. What is a coracle? … I heard that this is a structure made from ocean coral.

2. What is a liner? … A liner can be two things – a make up eye liner, or a magic marking pen.

5. What is a cruiser? … A cruiser is a type/shape of a certain disposable diaper or nappie.

8. What is a kayak? … A kayak is a goat that lives high up in the mountains on the cliffs. Click to view
