For Becky’s challenge:

Thank you for Squaring

***

Today is the final one for Becky’s challenge of geometric squares. It’s been fun finding photos, and also seeing other participants photos all month. I want to thank Becky for hosting this fun challenge for the past years.

I want to also thank each of you that came to visit, look at my posts, liked, and commented. I sure appreciate you!

This is looking way up at a skylight I think it was at the mall. Lots of framed blue sky squares.

A wall of red bricks going horizontal and vertical, and lines of mortar in between them all.

One of my watches has a square face.

This song seemed appropriate for the final posting It is time to close up the squares until next time.

“Closing Time”, by SemiSonic, was released from the album, “Feeling Strangely Fine”, in 1998. It was written by Dan Wilson, and is on the MCA label.

Sphere & square box

At the antique store one time I saw this really big blue marble. It is dark & light blue swirly patterned and is sitting in a sky blue wooden box. I don’t know why it’s in the box, as you couldn’t close the box because the marble is way too big. I’d estimate the marble being as big as a tennis ball and very heavy glass.

Today’s geometric shape is a solid orange wall with large gold metal sunburst decoration.

This is a large wall decoration I saw at a restaurant one day. To me it looks like a sunburst. It was made of metal, and the many very thin sun rays are very spiky! It is done in a circle shape, with the lines radiating out from a center circle and cone shape.

More Geometric Shapes inside

***

Lots of geometric lines such a squares, triangles, and others on this drawn hand.

This is a drawing my grand-son made. It is his hand, colored in black, with white lines going in all directions on it. He is learning all about Zentangles, and does all kinds of them, plus many more kinds of drawings. He’s a great artist, and did this one when he was  10 years old. Of course that’s his Grammy’s proud opinion. 🙂

Guinea Pig Ball

In this guinea pig exercise ball I see ots of geometric shapes here. I see lines, squares, rectangles, semi-circles, circles, and a cylinder.

We saw these cute little Guinea Pigs at the pet store. They were brown and white, and had a blue plastic ball to run around in. There was also a water bottle with a blue piece on it, and they had straw bedding to sit on.

This is a little blue/silver/white rolling robot like R2D2. It was a fun thing in the children’s wing of the hospital one time. There are lots of shapes on him, like circles, domes, squares, triangles, rectangles, etc. 🙂

This is a table we have in the back yard. It is round, and the top is made of small ceramic tiles of blues and some greens. On the table is a small wooden wheelbarrow holding several dark blue decorative stones.

For Becky’s challenge:

The Geometry Library

***

I started to call this ‘plane geometry’, but I don’t think this airport airplane is what they had in mind. According to a Wiki statement …

Plane geometry is a branch of mathematics that studies two-dimensional shapes, or flat shapes, that exist on a flat surface called a plane:

This airplane is definitely not flat!

For today’s square I have a pointy airplane wing and tail, round engines, cylinder body, and markings on the runway cement. There are also cubes (boxes) on the loading truck, a slanted window frame from which I was looking through, and some metal gates of rectangles and squares of a fence.

Something completely different

***

My grand-daughter’s toy clock! It’s bright yellow, and round as a circle. It has numbers from one to twelve, and each one has a button shaped like a geometry shape like a star, triangle, oval, Hexagon, square, pentagon, trapezoid, cube, octagon, rhombus, and a couple more I’m not sure about. I think when you press the shape the clock says what it is, or the time number. There’s also clock hands you can move around a circle, divided up into triangles.
