SOCS – may your

For Linda’s challenge:

The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS May 23, 2026

***

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “may your…” Use the phrase “may your” in your post. Use it any way you’d like. Have fun!

***

Lots of good wishes for this prompt I’ve seen on posts so far. It’s a good way to start the good thoughts, and I have a few too, but maybe a little different.

  • May your internet not go out like mine did for several hours yesterday.
  • May your person or help you find, be able to come to the rescue to fix it, like my son-in-law yesterday, as he talked the Mr. through how to fix it.
  • May your walking be smooth and not unbalanced by tripping and falling like I did the other day.
  • May your TV shows you like to watch not be cancelled and taken off the air for no reason.
  • May your ideas for dinner/supper be good ones and let everyone agree  on.
  • May your day be better than the one in this song…

***

“May the Bird of Paradise Fly Up Your Nose”, by Little Jimmy Dickens, was released in 1965. It was written by Neal Merritt, and is on the Columbia label.

***

Fun and catchy! Yay 🙂

Can you tell a story in 64 words using the following words in it somewhere:

Gail, the singing snail fancied herself the chanteuse of the music world. When she saw her opening, she slimed her way up the microphone stand for her solo. Halfway out of her shell, she swayed and softly sang her song. The audience applauded with zeal and were happy rewarding  her with a beautiful cottage, completely furnished,  right down to the teapot. Immortality was guaranteed.

A Silly Someday Poem

Standard

A Silly Someday Poem

Just because I have words in my head and they want to spin around and be ejected into the universe in random order, which really means no order at all. Here we go …

Rinky-dink

Shrinky-dink

Pinkie swear

Honky-Tonk Piano

Floating through the air

What’s that word

How absurd

It’s one I heard

Can’t think of it now.

Here’s your new limerick challenge:

FARM

Of a tornado there came a warn

So we got our camera out

Then we all began to shout

We’re going to be chicken parm!

The bumpkins didn’t know what to do

So around the farm yard they flew

Should we go hide

And slip down the slide

Or practice some hefty voo-doo
