Flower of the Day – Larkspur/Delphinium

The Flower Hour #34: Roses in Memoriam

These are commonly called Larkspur, but also are known as Delphinium, and  are a medium tall flower with deep purple/blue petals. They also can be pink. The pretty little petals are stacked up on the stem.

I always loved these, as my mom always had them in the yard.

I looked to see if these have a name, and they do — Henbit.

These tiny little weed flowers grow everywhere and have purple petals

This is a very large hanging basket of red and purple Petunias. I saw these when we visited the Kansas City MO zoo. There were lots of these hanging baskets of flowers all over the place, way up high on poles.

Flower of the Day – Birthday Bouquet

For all those having birthdays this month. My daughter’s birthday is today, too.

This is a cute little coffee mug with pink and purple flowers in it. The mug words say Happy Birthday, and along the top is multi-colored triangle banners.

This would make a lovely gift for someone.
