Red Yucca and large green seed pods. We see these everywhere here, in people’s yards, and around business landscaping areas. It’s a good desert plant. It is a large spiky plant with long branches with red tubular flowers.

These were part of the landscaping outside a restaurant. They’re pretty typical of the type we see around here.

When I got closer, I noticed the large, green pods. Could they be seed pods?

So, I searched around and found out it is called Red Yucca, and is native to this desert area here in west TX, and on to the south into Mexico.

These were part of the landscaping outside a restaurant we went to for lunch yesterday. They’re pretty typical of the type we see around here.

When I got closer, I noticed the large, green pods. Could they be seed pods?

So, I searched around and found out it is called Red Yucca, and is native to this desert area here in west TX, and on to the south into Mexico.
