My Ghost Was Annoyed

I’m pretty sure my house Ghost was annoyed with me one afternoon a few years ago.

I had just taken a photo of my sage smudge broom to use in a poem that day, when I heard a small crash out in the kitchen. I came out of the bedroom to see what was going on.

I looked around a minute, then saw a magnet had fallen off the refrigerator door. It had been slung across the room. It wasn’t a special magnet, just one I’d gotten at a yard sale years ago of a beach scene with umbrella, because I like collecting all kinds.

Anyway, the thing is you’d think a magnet falling off the refrigerator wouldn’t be that easy, right? I mean it’s magnetized and stuck there. It had been stuck there for a long long time. You’d also think it would have just fallen straight down to the floor. But no … this one had somehow come unstuck and then gone completely sideways at least 3 to 4 feet away into the next room. It also had to have jagged around a portion of the wall that sticks out several inches right by the fridge.

I’m no stranger to things flying around from time to time. It’s happened many times. I think my Ghost was annoyed because I had the smudge broom out and they were maybe thinking I was trying to banish him/her from the house. I wasn’t at all. I love having my Ghost around here. It’s usually pretty quiet, but every once in awhile I’m made aware he/she is still around. 🙂

“Please Introduce Yourself”

Namaste! We are the nice lady’s incense, and were handcrafted in India. She has burned incense for many years, in one form or another. We have many different fragrances, and she likes most all of them. She keeps us up on top of the TV shelf, so our beautiful scents can waft throughout the house. Some of us are the stick variety, and some are formed into cones. The nice lady has incense burners for each kind. She also has a sage broom, which is for cleansing the house of bad spirits.

I’m happy we live here, and are able to bring a sense of peacefulness to the nice lady. 🙂
