A true story:

Once upon a time my Uncle Travis was a sheriff. He was a sheriff in Roswell, New Mexico. He was there when the UFO crashed in the area.

He was ordered (by the government) to never speak of what he saw or heard of the incident.

I don’t know if he ever did or not, because this happened in 1947, before I was even born. But this story has been in our family ever since.

I wish I’d have known so I could have asked about it more, but I was just a little kid when I would see him and my aunt and cousins. They’d drive to our Granny & Grand-dad’s house here to visit. They’d drive in the sheriff’s car, which looked really neat.

The cousins and I would have fun, either going bowling, or playing cards. The grown-ups would talk, and also play dominoes called 42. We’d see them at Christmas and other holidays.

Our family traveled to Roswell, NM to visit them too, once in awhile.

Still, nothing was said (that I ever heard first hand) about the UFO incident.

Now he has passed on, and there is no way to ask about it. So it remains a mystery in our family to this day. I do believe he knew the truth about it all, and that that truth was covered up for whatever reason.

and last is a real Air Force jet airplane mounted outside at the local Science Museum

This is a very tall streetlight that is in a parking lot. It was decorated with green garlands and pink flowers for Christmas.

Do you see the white, saucer shape to the right of the streetlight? Is it a UFO?

No, it’s just a reflection on the window of the lights inside the restaurant we were in at the time. I take these kind of photos all the time, because to me they look like UFOs in the sky. I like the thought of there being UFOs – I won’t stop believing! 🙂

My theme for this year will actually be a theme! It will be …

TV Theme Songs

I’ll be showing short videos of the opening theme songs of old TV shows, and saying a few words about them. They are all shows I’ve watched in the past and enjoyed. Maybe you’ve seen some of them too, and will enjoy this look back at some favorites.

This one I chose today, is from the TV show, “Roswell”. It’s one of my favorite shows. It ran from 1999 to 2002. I bought all three seasons of the DVDs, and have watched them many times.

The story is set in modern times in Roswell, New Mexico. It’s focus is the teenagers in high school, and the ups and downs of their relationships with boyfriends and girlfriends.

However, three new students in their high school are a bit different. They are aliens from another planet. They look normal, but have things about them that make people wonder what and who they really are. They are friends with a few other regular students, and let them know their secret. A lot of the episodes are of them figuring out how to evade the government, and scientists who suspect them of being aliens, but want to do experiments, if they ever catch them.

There is a lot of drama, and also a lot of humor in these stories. I love everything about this TV series. Hope you can watch it one day. 🙂

The theme song for all three seasons is, “Here With Me”, by Dido. It is a haunting kind of tune, especially paired with the theme of the TV show.

UFO

Somebody said come look outside at the sky. It was night, and the stars were out, but one wasn’t a star.

It was probably a UFO, and it was going real fast and erratic. It would zig zag fast, slow, and all different ways around the horizon. It was a little ways up, and going around in a huge circle.

I think I went to get my camera. Then I remember I was talking to an old seer or sage guy about stuff.
