"The Goose" is Cooked.....

Our dear friends Lindy, Ryan and their daughter Lucy "the Goose" Langston, posted a video entry on their family blog a few weeks ago. It was of Lucy rolling over for the first time - all on her own and a whole month ahead of the standard baby curve. I would expect nothing less than over achievers from a Jones - nothing less.

However - Preston officially beat The Goose's record by rolling over at 1 month and 1 day old. Yup, its true. PG - in a fit of rage from indigestion, rolled over all on his own in the middle of our living room as we were trying to enjoy an episode of Heroes. Sorry Goose, I guess you're just going to have to bring it. Here's a victory half smile from Preston.....and yes, those are socks on his hands. He cannot be trusted to his own eye gouging devices.

On another note - sorry its been awhile. I'll try to get back to my regular posting schedule. Both grandmas have left town, so things are starting to settle a little with just mom and baby. And I apologize in advance for the upcoming barrage baby posts. I'll try to diversify a little, but lets be honest - I'm lucky to find adult conversation = so baby posts you'll get, and you'll like it!

Birthday fun.

Dave's b-day was on Monday. It was a fairly successful affair. We had a few friends over, ate some treats, and had a relaxing evening. Much appreciated after the past few weeks we have had. In lieu of PG being home for Dave's b-day, and not getting a proper intro in to the world - the cake was dedicated to him (and I guess it could apply to Dave too).

Preston's Home! Huzzahs all around.

Preston was officially discharged from the hospital today. It's been wonderful (and a bit strange) to hold him without having to worry about all the tubing and IVs. We have a plethora of check ups coming in the next month - and a grumpy 11 lb infant (as is the territory with surgery recovering) but we have never been more thrilled.

We celebrated our victory by trying on infant clothes that were way too small.

And then napping.

Sarah had been rooming in with PG since Sunday in preparation, so she came home nice and sleep deprived. And so it begins......
