Night Out

It was determined that a night out was in order. Being cooped up in a house with the same people, while you love them, can lead to madness. A location was decided upon and each individual was assigned an item to bring for dinner. Excitement filled the air as we gathered in the backyard of our closest friend. Kids ran laps and adults chatted and laughed as they shared the ups and downs of social distancing. No one paid attention to the lowering sun, signalling the end of another day. Slowly lights were turned on so we could see each other better. It was agreed that in a few weeks time we would do another night out.

Each of us has one space within their environment that they call their own; a place where they go to either be alone or to refocus themselves. I have a space, where I go to find solitude, quiet, or just to enjoy some time with my thoughts. My space is filled a variety of things on any given day. One day you may find craft items strewn about the room, other day you may find piles of books, or you may find a small radio and pillows. My space is my own area, where I go to work on projects, to venture off to new places, or just to relax my mind and body. It is my space, whether it is sparse or filled with clutter – ok maybe not clutter as I am not over keen on distractions and mess.

The After Party

Every year the owners gathered all their employees in the local hall and hosted a dinner party. The room was always alive with chatter as guests ate the provided plated meals and met each others spouses or dates for the night. The owners handed out the awards for various activities and achievements throughout the year. Afterward the party broke up and went off to various after parties. Standing beside the cabby, one individual contemplated just heading home rather than going inside the pub to continue the party with her co-workers.

I love that this dress comes in a number of colour options and two versions to fit whatever your needs are for that day. It is perfect for office parties, cocktails, spending time with the girls, or date night with that special someone.

You Had Me at Hello

Life has been difficult lately and I needed to take some time to be alone with my thoughts and sort out where I needed to be and what direction I would be taking. I decided to take a little trip to a new garden and see what I could find there. The place was rather empty, which was comforting as I needed to be alone with my thoughts. I found this gorgeous spot over looking a river and as I stood there I heard this faint “Hello”. Curiosity got the better of me and I decided to find that faint little voice. I could not help but smile when I saw the bird sitting upon its perch. Perhaps he held the answers to my questions.

Overall Opinion:

Not my normal go to outfit, but I find it perfect for the beach or those romantic strolls I often hear of others taking with their loved one. It comes in a number of colours for your choosing. I paired it with a gorgeous set of jewels that can be customized to fit your colour choices as well. I decided to use the lennox pose by !bang to show off this dress as it fit with image I was trying achieve once I had found the bird.

I often just sit outside to close my eyes and allow nature to take hold of my senses. My daily life is extremely busy with very little down time and my senses become over stimulated. I do not get a lot of outdoor time to enjoy the world around me during the winter because it cold and I am not a fan of the cold or snow. I did take some time to enjoy the some what warmer day outside and mull over some things that have been troubling me as of late. While I did not come up with a solution, I did enjoy the little amount of time I spent outdoors and the clarity I got as my heavy thoughts were somewhat lifted; even if it was just for a few moments.

Overall Opinion:

I have recently discovered a love for scarves. I use to just wear them in the winter to keep my face warm and now I find I wear them as accessories. I love everything about this outfit from BlackRose. The sweater is warm and comfortable, perfect for those days when you can go without a coat. The jeans are perfectly ripped showing that are well loved (they have also become a favourite of mine). As for the scarf it adds the perfect amount of red to any outfit. As for my boots, these are super cute and playful and will be worn lots.

I decided to surprise my love with a night out just for the two of us. I wore his favourite colour for the occasion not letting one tiny surprise give away what we would be doing. I told him where to wait for me and to keep his eyes closed. I snuck up on him quietly as my gown dragged across the floor. I whispered to him to open his eyes that our night was just about to begin. We went out to diner and then danced the night away at a private club with a live band.

Overall Opinion:

There is something about a well fitting dress, especially one that is red. I believe every girl needs a long red dress hanging in their closet and Just Darling has given me that dress. This dress is sexy and tantalizing, but still leaves the viewer wanting more. It does not reveal all the secrets hidden beneath it. I paired it with a red polish and a gorgeous heal that showed a splash of white and black.

Love is an interesting disease we become afflicted with. It comes out of no where taking all shapes and forms. It can be the individual we are meant to spend the rest of our lives with. The children we bring into the world. The children we let into our hearts who we give our unconditional love to by making them our own. Or it can be the friends we connect with and call our family. Love affects each of us differently as we venture through life. It entraps us blindly and often by surprise in the most unexpected ways.

Overall Opinion:

I love this outfit; it is timeless and classic. It is perfect for those romantic walks through the snow, out with friends, or out shopping. I love the boots! I am a sucker for a good pair of boots the hug the leg just right. What I like most is I can wear this as a dress or a coat and put on a pair of pants. It is versatile and can suit any mood.

The Wooden Deer

I was having a hard time sleeping and decided that a midnight walk was what I needed. I put on my favourite pair of boots and a warm vest and wandered outside with no clear direction in which I wanted to go. I ventured past neighbours homes enjoying the lights they had placed out. I passed intricate displays and enjoyed the smell of the wood fires as they burned in their homes. My favourite items to see were the wooden deer adorning each homes lawns.

Overall Opinion:

I absolutely love vests. They are perfect for those cool days and will not make you overly hot as the weather warms up. They are great for hiking during the early winter months and are not overly bulky. This one is perfect in a basic white, making it easy to pair with any favourite top or pair of pants. I paired this with my favourite pair of pants and my new boots.

Holidays have begun and I have been really busy with a to do list the size of my arm. It feels as if all I have been doing is running here and there and far more busy then I am when I work. I visited one home today and took a moment to just sit, clear my mind and enjoy the sounds around me. I was amazed by how much I needed this relaxing moment to rejuvenate myself for the rest of my travels. I was equally impressed with the fact that I choose to sit outside in the winter gazebo.

Overall Opinion:

I will admit it, I am a sucker for the jumpsuit. It reminds me of an era when everything seemed to be simpler in life. When everyone knew what it meant to be classy and respectful (even though they first came into fashion in the late 1980s). This one is in my favourite which is a bonus but I would wear it in any colour. I find it adorably playful and perfect for work or play.
