Closer to You

I push you away and plead for you to leave me be, it is part of our daily ritual. There are times when I thrive on being alone and not bothered, left to fill my time with what I want to do in absolute silence. Other times, like today, I need to be closer to you almost sitting on you soaking up your energy. Sometimes you join me in silence and let me lean on you, other times you talk nonstop about what ever crosses your thoughts. There are times when I ask you to not speak and sometimes you listen but other times you do not. Today I just want to be closer to you, without words, just closer to you.

Just You

Every so often I need to steal a moment with my husband. He works far to much and is often not around for some time. When he gets home he is really tired and will often go to sleep well before any other human. During these fleeting moments I steal away his attention from other ideas he has. Today I stopped him from heading outside to work on a bike he has been trying to finish. Just one lingering glance is all it takes to satisfy me.

Overall Opinion:

I am getting my summer wardrobe together and found this cute top and pant outfit. It is perfect for the summer months. It comes in a few colour options with differing patterns. I will be wearing this cute number while visiting new locations, spending time with friends and family, and while working on things around the house.

Whispering Sweet Nothings

Teach me to ask for a little help in putting on doing up my dress and putting on my necklace. He did quite the opposite and instead embraced me a gentle loving hug and whispered in my ear. What did he is whisper, oh I cannot tell you that. But eventually he did do ask I asked and allowed me to finish getting ready for our night out with friends celebrating their upcoming wedding.

Overall Opinion:

This slip dress is stunning and prefect for a cocktail party. I like how it shimmers and flows in all the right places. It clings, yet leaves much to the imagination still without giving away all your secrets. The detailing in the fabric is impressive.

May I Have This Dance?

Before heading off to our ballroom dance classes we took a stroll down a deserted dirt trail. We had been down this trail several times before and knew it would take us to the lake and soon to our destination. Veering to the right instead of the left, we came upon a clearing that we had never been to before. There we found the old abandoned truck covered in flowers and a bench for us to sit upon. Soon the dogs found us and my husband decided to see if the radio still worked in the old girl. Before I knew it we were dancing by the lake and completely forgot about our dance classes.

Overall Opinion:

I adore this gown and that it comes in a number of colour options. It is perfect for heading off to a night filled with ballroom dancing. I would even wear it as part of a masquerade costume; the options for this gown are endless. My husband’s cardigan also comes in a number of colours and I just love how it looks on him. Now if only we could do something about his dancing skills 🙂

Life is interesting. One door closes and another one always opens. We make choices that lead us down a path to greatness or down a path to despair. Life sometimes has us travel this journey alone or with the company of others. Sometimes this journey is not visible to others, as we are searching for direction with in our lives. We struggle to ensure the right choices are made and that we are doing what is best for us. There are times when I am grateful that you and I can go down the paths I choose to take.

Overall Opinion:

I have become drawn in by sweaters and scarves. I love this sweater from The Vintage Touch and the texture hud that allows me to personalize it my own tastes. I paired with a new favourite pair of jeans by BlackRose and a cute pair of boots, creating an outfit that I will wear more then once. I then used a pose that showed me seeking comfort from my husband while making a difficult decision.

There are times when I need my space. When I need the world to just be still and quiet and for everyone to leave me alone. Then there are the times I just want to be held and be closer with those around me. There are days when I long to be wrapped in the arms of those I love, whether they are my husband, my children, or my closest friends. While I need to be left alone at times, I also need to be closer with those I love.

Overall Opinion:

I will admit that I cannot get enough of this sweater and scarf set. I love that it has a number of colour options in various patterns, allowing for a number of options to wear this outfit to; perfect for work or play. My husband is looking dashing in his sweater from {Q-Essentials} which comes in a number of colours as well. We wore ours outside on a warm snowy day.
