Private Practice

In the little house down the quiet lane, lives a doctor. Patients come and go throughout the day and often the doctor leaves their home to make a house call. Once the doctor worked from a busy office space where patients sat in a little waiting room packed to the brim; the doctor grew tired of hearing their complaints and decided it was best to make them feel more comfortable and at home. The doctor moved the practice into a private wing of the family home. Now the patients wait for their turn without complaint as they enjoy their tea and cakes.

Cozy Cottage1

Alone in her tiny home the cottage owner sits and drinks her tea. While many would question her station in life, she cannot be more content. She spends her days busy with her work and puttering around the little cottage. She listens to the chatter of her fur babies as they meander in and out of the house seeking their own adventures. Her nights are filled with quiet solitude as she prepares a meal or two and then sets to working once more on the next days tasks. Looking around the cottage one can tell the home is filled with love event though it is may be small. Alone she sits drinking her tea.

Irish for just one Day

Once a year everyone is given a reason to sport the Irish gear and decorate their homes, workplaces, and even their bodies in shamrocks and various shades of green. We buy the cute little decor items and carefully place them for all to see. We create elaborate baked goodies and traditional meals. We invite friends and family over for a night of food, drink, and cheer. For just one night we are Irish even though we all are not. It amuses me that around the world many a like celebrate this tradition and yet never ask why? Oh well, we get to be Irish for just one day.
