A Little Escape

Every so often, when the normal becomes mundane, I decide that a little escape is needed and search for the unknown. Today happened to be one of those mundane days, where I needed something new and fresh. I pulled out my travel guide and read about various locations. I had to make a decision on where I wanted to visit and for what purpose. Was it to see something new, meet new people, do some shopping, or to relax. Today I decided that I wanted to see something new and visit a new place.

Intrigue

She had received the invitation in the mail from an unknown sender. She had read it several times admiring the detail and scrolling letters. She wrote the date on the calendar being sure to remember the event to take place. As stated in the invitation, the day before the event, a package arrived in the mail. Slowly she opened the box and admired its’ contents. The next evening she prepared her outfit and fixed the gift in place. Intrigue filled her as the driver opened the door motioning her inside the car. Soon she arrived at her destination and once more the driver opened the door. She climbed out and stood before the sea of hats looking her way. Further intrigued by the sight before she walked into the crowd and took her father’s hand wondering how he had managed to pull all of this together in honour of her mother’s garden.

Music soothes the soul; stirs up emotions of happiness and sorrow. Music comes in all genres and if you are willing to each has a different feel that enriches your soul. Music is played wherever we go in life; on the radio, in stores, and is part of everything we watch. Over time music has changed shape as well from vinyl records to digital files downloaded by the masses. One thing never changes though, how music makes us feel, how it draws us together, and how it makes us move. Right now I am enjoying the vinyl, tomorrow maybe an eight track or perhaps a digital download of a current release.

A Night Out

It is a rare occasion when I have nothing to work on, or work is slow, I seize the moment to enjoy a night out. These nights are far and few between, but when they come along I enjoy them. You may wonder what I do during these rare occasions and often I am left wondering myself what I will do with my free time. Sometimes I go shopping or check out a new event, I wander around sims, listen to music, or I hang out with family and friends. Last night though, I took the time to catch up with an old friend while shopped for new shoes.

Every so often I need to steal a moment with my husband. He works far to much and is often not around for some time. When he gets home he is really tired and will often go to sleep well before any other human. During these fleeting moments I steal away his attention from other ideas he has. Overall Opinion:

I am getting my summer wardrobe together and found this cute top and pant outfit. It is perfect for the summer months. It comes in a few colour options with differing patterns. I will be wearing this cute number while visiting new locations, spending time with friends and family, and while working on things around the house.

Life Carries On

Life happens, we take each day as they come – with the good and the bad. We see people come into our lives, we give them love and support and give them a title – friend or family. We see people leave our lives unexpectedly and wonder what happened, what made them leave – this can be a moment for us that brings us hardship and suffering. We watch as loved ones take ill and pass away from various causes – mourning their loss. We evaluate each and every day, our actions, and words, seeking to find answers. We suffer openly or internally, putting a smile upon our face and tell others we are fine. We celebrate life achievements with our family and friends. No matter the good or bad days, life carries on and we attempt to make the best of it.

Overall Opinion:

My inspiration for this post started with the set from Serenity Style, it reminded me of quiet alone times, where we are left alone with our thoughts; its beauty stood out to me as we often do not see the beauty in others or in ourselves, often pieces of furniture are left forgotten by the owners, very much like the lives we touch and depart from. I decided to wear a simple outfit that was also just as stunning as the decor pieces I was showing. At first glance one view would be formed but upon closer examination the audience would see its great beauty. The dress comes in other colour options as well to meet anyones personal tastes.

A Rose Amongst the Many

I find it curious that as individuals we do not see the beauty within ourselves. We point out the flaws in the way we look, how we talk, and even how we think. If we have been given a label we cling to it like a crutch; we allow it to define ourselves and what we can do in life. We allow society to determine our worth and how we are seen by others. Recently I had a conversation with a friend about their life goals and how they were disappointed that her ambitions were being taken away from her because of a label she had been assigned. I listened to her talk about how upset she was that they would not allow her to take a specific course because of this. I felt defeated for her, I was anger and upset, and questioned their authority in telling her she would not be able to achieve her goals. She made feel triumphant though when she ended our conversation with a simple statement “I will not be defeated!” She is a rose amongst the many, throwing away societal conventions, seeing her beauty and worth, despite how others sees her.

I cannot praise this gown enough, it was the inspiration for my post. It stands out in a crowd and allows the wearer to radiate their own beauty. Just Darlings attention to detail shows in this gown, making it one that every girl should have hanging in their closet. It comes in other colour options to suit your personal tastes. It is perfect for formal parties or as wedding party attire.
