The Waterfall

There is something about the waterfall that draws me in. The free flowing water crashing over rocks that sends a spray of misty water into the air. It is majestic and dangerous, and yet calming at the same time. I can spend hours lost in the sounds of the rushing water over the rocks as it plummets toward the waiting pool. At times, when I find my world is to noisy and I need to drown it out, I am drawn to the waterfall to close the unwanted noise out of world for a bit. The waterfall is one place where I find peace amongst the chaos.

Overall Opinion:

My inspiration for this post came from the poses being offered at Shiny Shabby by !bang poses (both bought and free gift). I wanted to create a unique way of displaying the poses instead of sitting on a bench, ledge or chair and thought nothing would do this more then siting on a rock and the rest just came to life. My outfit is something I would wear in rl as well, I love it and how it looks. It is the perfect outfit for both work and play.

The Ice Queen

It came crashing in during the night, banging windows and howling making its presence known. Usually it comes in silently causing alarm in the morning as the realization sets in that will be messy. I was woken by the sounds and the pinging on the windows in bedroom. I knew what I would see out that wibdow; a blanket of glittering white covered the ground as rain and ice poured down on top of it. I was alarmed when I saw the lady in white standing there with her magnificent creature. She smiled and watched on as if conducting the weather.

Overall Opinion:

This dress is stunning and sexy. It is perfect for those intimate nights out (or in) with that special someone. It begs for your to be adored by those around you and yet captures the eyes of that one person you have left yourself vulnerable to. I played it up with a few accessories that made me think of winter romance with a hint of playfulness. My outdoor decor items are fun and playful and perfect for the winter month. Serenity Style never disappoints with her whimsical wood creations.

I recently paid a visit to a fortune teller. She seemed rather shady but offered to do a free reading, claiming she could pick up on my hesitation and could tell I had a lot of questions that I was seeking answers to. I followed this odd hunched woman back to her little booth no bigger then a shoe box and paid the requested amount. I waited some time while she made all sorts of odd noises and all she could say was “I think I miss ready you before, for now I see nothing. Perhaps your stars are not a lined right.” I walked away knowing that my feelings about the shady fortune teller were correct and now my wallet was a little lighter.

Overall Opinion:

This one piece jumper is cute and fun to wear. I would wear it just relaxing around the house, shopping or hanging out with family and friends.

Beauty at Dusk

I have two times in the day when I find inner peace. The first being when the sun starts to slowly caress the night sky, kissing the dew that has settled upon the grass and leaves. I enjoy this moment for it always means a new days is starting, the events of the day before, wiped clean and learned from. The second is dusk, as the sun sets leaving behind another day that will soon be but a memory. Whether the day was good or bad, dusk means things will soon end a calm will set in and I can begin to heal and find my inner peace.

Overall Opinion:

I absolutely adore this dress by NYU. When I first saw it in the store for a recent 50L Friday, I was going to pass it by. I did in fact leave the store and venture on my path seeking some amazing deals, but the dress refused to leave my thoughts. It haunted me as I spent my day doing as I wished. Before logging out for the night I quickly returned to NYU and bought the dress, thinking why not it is only 50L and if I don’t like it nothing much is lost. It is now one of my absolute favourites and I will happily by from NYU again!

Reflect

After a long day, I needed some quiet time to myself to reflect upon the days events and news I had received. What had started out as a joyful day full of new life and great promise, turned into one that would be remembered for years to come. I sat down with a glass of wine and reflected on the days events and news. I took time to think of those I have in my life and was thankful each of them held the position they did.

I will admit, that this outfit took me a little out of my comfort zone and I had to get creative with the top. I paired it with my favourite jeans and strategically did my hair. I wore it around town while I shopped and became comfortable in it. While it is not something I would wear around the children, it is something I would wear alone with my lover.

Leaving behind the Past

Where does the cobble stone path lead to beyond the gate; do I dare travel to the unknown place with the secrets that may lay beyond. Do I follow those cobble stones and find the answers down the path? Or do I choose to leave behind the path and not venture beyond the gate to where those cobble stones lead?
