V&T Railroad

The V&T (Virginia & Truckee Railroad Company) from Carson City, Nevada to Virginia City, NV starts just above the Carson River Canyon and runs along the east side of Mound House and across a railroad bridge over U.S. Highway 50 and then picks up the historic Comstock Era route. The end of the line brings you into Virginia City, with a free shuttle to downtown C Street.

San Juan Bautista Mission

Mission San Juan Bautista was founded on June 24, 1797 in what is now the San Juan Bautista Historic District of San Juan Bautista, California. The Ohlone, the original residents of the valley, were brought to live at the mission and baptized, followed by Yokuts from the Central Valley. It’s the largest of the Spanish Missions in California.

Sawmill Pond is located in the Northern Sierra Nevada and is a reservoir in El Dorado County in the state of California. It’s a great place for hiking and the pond is open for fishing for kids 14 and under.

The Phoenix Zoo has 125 acres of land and approximately 2.5 miles of walking trails. They have about 1,200 animals on exhibit including mammals, fish, invertebrates, birds, and reptiles.
