Halloween

Halloween was kind of a drag this year because it was very cold and rained all night. The boys didn't care much though. They had a great time and got a ton of candy. We also had fun carving our pumpkins.

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch by our house and picked out some really cool pumpkins. They also have a little maze for the kids to run around at. Of course Cooper was every where and Russ and I were chasing him all over the place.

Braxtons Surgery

Braxton had been sick all week. He came home on Tuesday not feeling well but complaining of a soar throat and fever. He stayed home from school the rest of the week because he couldn't stop throwing up. On Friday I finally took him to his Doctor. He looked him over and checked him out for appendicits but said it looked more just like a stomach bug but to watch him close. A few hours later we was doing worse and so I called his doctor and he said to take him over to the ER. I went to McKay and he got right in. They put in and IV which he hated and then started fluids. They did an ultrasound but didn't see much. They said it was just a virus and to come back tomorrow for a follow up. The next morning he couldn't even get out of bed so I got ready and took him back to the ER. He now had a temp and wasn't looking good at all. They ended up doing a CT and found that he had a ruptured appendix and that his appendix wasn't in the spot it should normally be in and thats why his pain was higher up in his abdoman. The doctor said this was a very serious matter and he was going to put a drain in for a while and then give him antibiotics for a month and once the infection was gone he would take out his appendix. At the end of his explaining he said I had the option of going to Primarys and if it were his kid he would go there. Me and Brax got in the ambulance and headed down to Primarys. Once we got there the surgeon, Dr. Scaife came to the bedside and said he just wanted to preceed with taking out his appendix. So that night Braxton went into surgery and had his appendix taken out. It had ruptured but kind of capsulized in the back so he got it all out. Because it was a stage 4 rupture we have to stay in the hospital for at least 5 days and then we will check his cbc and make sure the infection is gone. Then we can go home. Now it is day 2 post op. Braxton got to finally eat and was really excited. We are pretty bored but we have played games and colored 2 pictures watched a bunch of movies. I am going to go home tonight to be with Logan and Cooper and lucky Russ gets to sleep on this nice chair.

Lagoon

We finally made it to Lagoon this year. We had a great time. Logan was a little disapointed because he's a little dare devil and wanted to go on all the big rides including, colossas but he was an inch to short, maybe next year.

They had a bunch of distorted mirrors we got to play in. This is our cute little chubby family. Good thing we really dont look like that.

Logans Birthday

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOGAN!!!

Logan turned 4 years old. For his birthday this year he got a bike, money and a bunch of dart guns. We also went to Lagoon. Logan is getting so big. He is finally talking really well beside a little studdering here and there. He loves to play with his friends and be outside. He started preschool this year and is enjoying it so much. He is still into taking pictures. Everytime I get my camera I always find a bunch of pictures he has taken.

DISNEYLAND!!!!

This year for Braxton's 8th birthday we went to Disneyland. Me, Monica and my mom surprised Braxton and Lexi and woke them up early and didn't tell them we were going until we were on our way to the airport. They were so surprised and happy. We had a wonderful time. Braxtons favorite ride was Splash Mountain, mine was Space Mountain.

At the end of the day we took a nice dip in the hotel pool.

First Family Vacation

This weekend we got to take our first little family vacation. We stayed up at my friends cabin in Island Park. There was no TV so we had to make due with playing games and taking walks to the river to feed the fish. Logan saw a bunch of "Chickenmunks" (chipmucks) and Cooper saw plenty of "Motorhighschools" (motorcycles).

One day we took a little ride through Yellowstone. We saw plenty of Elk and Buffalo. We went and walked around the paint pots and saw the famous Old Faithful. We took a little hike to see the upper falls, and drove around a beautiful lake.

At the gift shop Braxton choose a pocket knife as his suvenir. When we got up to the register we realized it said #1 mom so we ran back and swiched it. They didn't have his name but one that said Leo was sitting right on top. He thought that was pretty cool so we grabbed that one. When we got back to the cabin Bonnie and Randy had caught some fish so Randy showed them how to clean them and then Braxton got to break in his new knife and clean a fish. He did really good until he had to pull the guts out and then he said he was going to throw up so he stopped.

We took the canoes out for a little ride down the river. The sights were beautiful and we saw a lot of cool fish and birds.

On our way home we stopped at Bear World. We drove around the park and saw deer, mountain goat, Elk and a moose. We went to the petting zoo and pet some goats, deer and a cute little pig. They had some really cute little bear cubs that kept showing off. They were jumping up on a post and then one would come knock the other one off. They were so cute. They also had some rides that the boys really enjoyed.
