20 months!

I cant believe it. Somehow 20 months sounds so old.

Here you are enjoying helping mommy cook on Christmas day. New milestones this month:
E you are using so many more words. You even remember to say- tank ooouu ( thank you). I still love those lips!
C you can run. And run FAST!
You both have started to hold hands with each other when we pray at dinner and you both can say AMEN. What little Holy Girls we have!
You kiss each other at night with a sister kiss and your favorite person is Gianna
You both are getting so big. Mommy cannot hold you both at the same time anymore. But mommy has very big muscles from all the other months she has!
You both Loved Christmas lights. E oooohs and points and C you say light-lighHhhhhTttttt.
Baby dolls are a great hit and your favorite toy is still the one that the other sister has.
Let's stop here and not make it to 2 ok? I don't think I can handle these little babies:

Getting any bigger.

19

19 months. I truly cannot believe it. They have taken forever and they have flown by. You are my little toddlers but I still call you my babies. You walk and talk and talk and walk!!!!

You are pretty cute! I love all the new fun discoveries you make every day.
Elizabeth. You like to walk backwards and push chairs all around the house. You have a big bump on your head right now because you fell over a chair you were pushing. You can moo and woof and gobble. Beyond adorable. You have 8 teeth!!! You LOVE to try to buckle everything you can. You say "mo-mo" from your new favorite thing- Elmo. You still love your baby and your giraffe that we call baby too. You are getting more vocal and more interested in any toy another sister is playing with. You love to be tickled. Your most ticklish spot is your back. I love your laugh and how you find cups that are Cosettes' and you will walk all they way across the house to give it back to her. You love mommas iPhone. And you have even called some people.

Cosette you love to talk. You will repeat back most anything we say. You like to talk and chat all the time. You also like to observe and see how things are done and you can copy it the first time you see mom or dad do it. You love Elmo too. Your hair is beginning to lay down. I'm sad about it. You do NOT like jackets but bows are still an everyday must have. You love to dance. Fingers are still your favorite thing in the whole world. You are my little shadow. You follow momma all around all day. You love to help out cooking. And those dimples. Mine all mine!

A Day

It's been a while since I've been in what Anne of Green Gables calls a "scrape." But yesterday, well, here's what happened...
Elizabeth was NOT feeling well. She just was out of sorts and kinda cranky. I was busy getting Gianna's lunch ready for school. I was rocking it because I was early. I had a few minutes to load the dishwasher before I had to pack the kids up. Before I could finish, I look up to see Cosette is crying because she fell. Not unusual as we have tile floors and any wetness on the floor means a baby is going to fall and cry loudly over it. I go to pick her up and realize she is standing in throw-up. YUCK. But guess what- so is Elizabeth and it's actually hers. E is crying C is crying and I'm trying not to get baby throw up on me because I've already gotten ready and put on make-up and stuff.
No. such. luck.
She got some on my jeans so after I clean off babies and get new clothes for them on, I look down and realize I need some new ones too. I put all the dirty clothes in the laundry room and get new jeans from the laundry room. I strategically placed them there so that I would always have a spare if I ever needed it. It was NOT because I have not put away laundry in about a week and a lot of clean clothes now call the laundry room their home and not a closet.
I run put the girls in the car and realize I can't find my phone. I strap them in and run frantically around the house looking for it. I got a cold chill- the washer! I go and look- nothing. I can't find it in there so it must be someplace else. It was late now and I would be relying on the good graces of the drive through ladies hoping that they were still at their posts. I had to try the washer again and I unloaded it wet soggy piece by wet soggy piece. NOTHING! UGGG. I give up on the phone and drive G to school. I did find my McCalisters sweet tea card with ONE punch away from a FREE tea.
After I took G to school and came home I found my phone in the bottom of the washing machine. It was clean. And not working. I emailed John and he came home to save it (me) and take me to lunch at McCalisters where I was not to get a free tea that day.
Guess what Elizabeth did in the line of McCalisters? Yup up-chuck. And why O why did I feel the need to catch it in my hands? Like it's golden throw up and I have to save it from falling.
We got our order to go.
I went home and took a shower.
And the phone. Well the phone is sitting in rice.
No one has thrown up today!

Oil Ranch

We made a trek with a few friends to a fun local farm place just over an hour away. We all had a blast.

We rode horses. E and C would have NOTHING to do with it. They wouldn't even let me put them on it for a picture.

Cosette liked the barn

Gianna totally had a blast feeding and milking the cow. Poor lady. She stood there all day and let lots of children milk her. This mom of twins felt her pain.

Gianna enjoyed riding the train.

All my girls

G got to feed a goat. She held put her hands and the goat ate right from them!

We went in a tractor ride. No hay. And we got to feed the cows- cow cookies

It was fun! They really came up to us and put their heads in to get those cookies. Mommy got a cow tongue lick- yuck!

Halloween

So I haven't posted any pictures because they actually were not that great of shots but I wanted to make sure I would remember them and at least put SOMETHING up!
We hosted a little party with a few of our friends. And then got to trick or treat in our new neighborhood. Fun times and lots of candy was had by all. I just have to teach Gianna that she can pick the candy that tastes good- not just the PINK kind!

18 months

Elizabeth and Cosette you are 18 months old today!!!!!

I so love you!
E you weigh 22lbs
And are 31 1/4 inches
Hurray you are in the 20%. Highest yet.

Elizabeth you like to pretend. You feed your babies and talk on the phone a lot! You L-O-V-E my phone and will go after your sisters if they come close to your things. And by go after them I mean you try and will bite them! You and your five teeth. You still smile with your eyes and I love everyone of them.

C you weigh 23
And are 32 1/4 inches
You are almost in the 50%. Yay growth spurt!

Cosette you are super cute! I love the dimples when you smile. You like to walk backwards and your new pass time is to try to take whatever Elizabeth has. You say ma-ma loud and clear. You are my accessory diva. If it is for a girl you will put it on. You are fearless and will do what any other big kid does.

You both have started to kiss. We have started a new tradition of. Sister kisses. Everyone gets one from another sister before bed time. So CUTE.
Oh my babies how I love you. How much fun it is to watch you grow and be a part of your life. I love you so much!

How to make Gak

What is gak you ask? It's only the coolest gooiest thing to play with. It's similar to silly putty and slime but more fun!

All you need is glue, liquid starch and a container to mix and hold it

Start with the glue. This is what I do with all my 20 cent glue from my school supply addiction

Let your kiddo do it. If you are making gak you are already committed to the mess right?

Add some food coloring and liquid starch and mix until it sticks together

Missed a few pics because I needed to help with the mixing! Add a bit of liquid starch until it globs together but not too much. Just keep adding until it feels right. Sorry type A folks. But then if you are type a you would have remembered to put the paint shirt on waaaaay before now

Squish away!
Keep it stored in the container and add a bit of liquid starch each time to reduce the stickiness.
