New Snow

Monday we had a huge storm come in which dropped a ton (I mean a ton!) of snow. One of our favorite things to do is walk the path by the river after a fresh snow. Jared and I were going to go early Tuesday morning but decided that taking the kids for Home Evening would be more fun. So we all bundled up and headed out. It was beautiful, peaceful, and quiet (well if you could block out my noisy kids). We had lots of fun and I'm so glad we did it.
I need to apologize I haven't mastered the photo taking at twilight, in the snow. Neighbors yard --- beautiful!

Gannon loved eating the snow. Notice his gloves are--oh I don't know---3 sizes too big. He gets so CRANKY when his hands get cold. They seemed to do the trick.

Gannon learns a life lesson

Gannon has figured out the existance of 'dog food'. This is a term used in our house for the stuff you won't eat. For example.....Chex mix...my kids don't actually like the Chex part they prefer the little bread sticks, bread slices, pretzels....everything but the actual Chex pieces so that is always what is left in the container. Trail Mix.....the dog food would be the raisins. Get it?

Well, the other day I walk in the kitchen and Gannon as gotten the huge bag of Lucky Charms (ok I'm a cheapie...Marshmellow Mateys) and he is taking out handfulls and dumping them on the kitchen floor. Now when you get to the last kid and it has been awhile since you've had a little one I'm slower to run in freaking out about the cereal all over the floor and am interested more in what he is trying to do...so I watch. Handful after handful on the floor then he starts to go and pick up all the marshmellow pieces and eat them. Yes, leaving the 'dog food' behind. He still can't talk but he's figure out dog food.
