Make Peace not War

“Or what king, when he sets out to meet another king in battle, will not first sit down and consider whether he is strong enough with ten thousand men to encounter the one coming against him with twenty thousand?
Or else, while the other is still far away, he sends a delegation and asks for terms of peace.
So then, none of you can be My disciple who does not give up all his own possessions.”
Luke 14:31-3

To rest in the place of peace with God, it is required from you a full and complete surrender.
You cannot win against God; He is the King.
Humble yourself, bow the knee and worship Him.
Give Him your full allegiance.
Everything about you is His to use as He wills for His good pleasure.
But, He is good and merciful and kind, and everything He wills is for your ultimate good, so trust Him with your family, your stuff, your soul, your core, your essence, and make peace with God.
It is a peace that can never be broken by you, for it is held together in the palm of God’s indestructible hand.

“I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.” John 10:28

Buried Treasure

I have no Master but thee,
no law but thy will,
no delight but thyself,
no wealth but thou gives,
no good but thou blessest,
no peace but that thou bestowed.
I am nothing but that thou makes me,
I have nothing but that I receive from thee,
I can be nothing but that grace adorns me.
Quarry me deep, dear Lord, and then fill me to overflowing with living water.
