So, what have I been up to? Good question!! A lot goes on in a span of 45 days since my last post. Nothing too remarkable; some sickness which thankfully we all overcame quickly, a little bit of crafting and a whole lot of working. We're in the midst of our busy season for seed picking and packing and I'm doing my part to get all those orders out to the folks throughout the US and Canada so they can start their vegetable and flower gardens. I truly love my job! It's been quite an adjustment balancing everything I did on a day to day basis at home while adding an extra 30 hours to my schedule. I have the deepest respect for working moms. I don't know how they do it all as I feel like I'm playing catch up on my few days off and don't have much time for all the other things I love to do. At any rate, I keep telling myself it's only temporary.
It didn't take me long to find the crafty gals at work. Well, I knew a few of them already but it's always fun to meet other talented and gifted ladies who share a love for crafting. We got together just recently and made Easter trees. This is something I've never done before and I was so pleased with the end results. What a great craft to share with the children in your life! I wish my kids were younger because they would have enjoyed making some of these. Here's a couple of pictures of my Easter trees.
We filled toulle netting with some m&m's and jelly beans and tied them with ribbon to hang on the trees. We also hung chocolate eggs, vintage Easter tags and of course decorated eggs.
At the base of the tree I added some ferns that look sort of like a nest for the cute little fuzzy chick.
This is how I made up some of the eggs. Aren't they cute??
This is a picture of all of our trees.

I did put out a few of my Easter decorations last weekend. It's not much, but here's a peek.
I made this little Easter bunny pantry cake last year. He's nestled in a bed of soft straw in an old wooden munising bowl.
The Easter tree and chocolate bunny look-a-like in the center of our dining room table.
A little touch of spring color on the desk.
Carrots in a wooden bowl in the step back cupboard.
A bunny in a bucket with some pips.
This wonderful stitchery made by my sweet friend Pam from BasketsNPrims
A little more spring peeking from this basket that was also made my Pam.
The gathering on the mantel.
And last but not least, the little bunny pillow that I made using wool.

I've also been busy planning our church's annual ladies brunch. I've got some spring decorating ideas to share with you after this Saturday when we have our gathering. We get to find out who our secret sister was for the year and pick a new one. Until then, I hope you stay well and count your blessings each day. Hopefully I won't be gone for so long this time. :) Hugs to you~ Birgit
