There... Already on NPR - The Link

Here's the link to my latest appearance on NPR News and Notes Bloggers Roundtable.

Appearing also were
Eric Brown of the Detroit News; and Jay Smooth of Ill Doctrine, and the actual topics were:

1) R. Kelly being found not guilty on all counts in his child molestation trial.

2)
Barack Obama's Father's Day Message in Detroit.

3)
Barack Obama’s use of the internet to raise incredible amounts of money to get his message out and combat smear against tactics.

Have a listen and let me know what you think. I'm open to constructive criticism!

The Bloggers Roundtable can be heard
in Houston at 12:00 noon CST on KTSU-FM 90.9, every Monday and Wednesday during the News and Notes with Farai Chideya program. The whole show is always worth a listen.

You can hear my previous segment from May 5th here.

Thanks again to NPR for extending the invitation, and to you for listening.

There... Already on NPR, Monday, June 16th

On Monday at approximately 12:15 CST, I'll be making a second appearance on NPR's News and Notes with Farai Chideya, during the Bloggers Roundtable segment.

I'm told the topics will include:

1) R. Kelly being found not guilty on all counts in his child molestation trial.

2) Barack Obama’s use of the internet to raise incredible amounts of money to get his message out and combat smear
against tactics.

3) The alleged Clinton hit list comprised of people they feel betrayed them by siding with Barack Obama. Think Bill Richardson.

It should be interesting, and I should note that the topics are subject to change. Hopefully we don't have to spend too much time on the R.Kelly issue. Celebrity news is just not my thing.

You can catch the show on KTSU-FM 90.9 in Houston, or check your local listings.

Hope you can tune in. You can listen to the previous segment from May 5th here.

News And Notes - Bloggers Roundtable

I'm back in Houston after a quick trip north to Big D. Of course, I've been MIA on a lot of important news items over the past couple of days, and I'll do my best to catch up. But before that, a few acknowledgments.

On Monday, I made what I hope will not be my last appearance on NPR during the Bloggers Roundtable segment of News and Notes with Farai Chideya. Kym Platt of Ask This Black Woman, and Desmond Burton of Afronerd shared the segment.

Thanks to NPR's Devin Robins and Ernest Champell; Devin for extending the invitation to appear, and Ernest for producing the segment, dealing with my ridiculous schedule changes, and making studio arrangements for me in Dallas rather than Houston as originally planned.

Thanks also to Farai Chideya, host of News and Notes for moderating a great discussion and making it real easy for this national radio rookie. Now, about that last question concerning Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey...

To Bruce Faulconer at Cakemix Recording in Dallas, TX, I appreciate your outstanding hospitality and patience, and the great conversation. Thanks for a first rate studio experience. If any of our readers require music recording, commercials, voiceover, or sound design of any kind, and want your recording done in a state of the art facility, I strongly encourage you to touch base with Bruce.

And finally, to those of you who tried to listen to the segment on the station listing I provided for Houston. While KUHT is our fine NPR affiliate here in Houston, the News and Notes segment airs on KTSU 90.9 FM. Please accept my apologies for this error, and you can listen to the segment here.

(um) hope that I don't (um) say (um) too much!
