Last Minute Remodel

Jill is in town! Now I have some moral and actual support to finish those last minute projects. Plus, the foot and back massages are nice too. We went to my appointment today where Ayden weighed in at approx 7lb 4 oz. Good girl! All is well with her and unfortunately nothing is happening with me. Guess we'll keep walking and hope for an on time departure since it doesn't look like an early one.

Large and NOT in Charge

So, here I am 38 weeks pregnant and officially ready. However, I just feel like Ayden is not sensing any urgency or even a desire to move out. She still moves about in there like there is plenty of room...but there is not, which is evident by her extremities literally protruding from my abdomen. I've been doing the whole Braxton Hicks thing, but nothing else seems to be changing. I go for an ultrasound and fetal weight on Monday, so we'll see just how much pain she will cause me. :0) Until she gets a bit more motivated, I guess I will clean house yet again and watch another episode of The Baby Story. Hopefully, there will be more exciting news soon.

Showered with Showers

What a fun month! It's been non stop baby celebration with people I love. I am so fortunate to have family and friends who love me and Ayden and want to welcome her into this world with many great parties. My girlfriends at work threw the first shower which rivaled a small wedding...I guess that's how it's done "Miami style." There were 6 other baby showers going on at the same time in the restaurant. But with over 20 labor and delivery nurses there, I think we had every pregnant lady covered in case of an emergency. I am done working now and miss seeing them all terribly. It will be another great party in the delivery room I'm sure.

Next was off to Tally where Mom, Jill, Aunt Michele, and friends joined together for another wonderful time. It is always special to share big moments with people I've known my entire life. And as always, being spoiled at home is fantastic.

The girls at church gave another great shower, and it was nice to be able to start fitting into the "Mom" group. They are a few years ahead of me in the kid dept, so I learned many things, and I'm sure my education will continue. And lastly, the dental wives all went out for a nice dinner. Our husbands are all friends, and we get together with them, but this was the first girls only. Everyone was incredibly generous, and Ayden has everything a baby girl could ever want. Patrick and I are so thankful for everyone's thoughfulness and kindness. Now we are officially in the birth month, so the count down truly begins. I gave Ayden her eviction notice today since I no longer can bend my sausage fingers, and it takes 3 hours to get to sleep. I have been a very fair and loyal landlord, but there just isn't anymore room. I am thinking March 17th would be a nice day being St. Patrick's Day...but I know how this goes. We will keep you posted!
