We have enjoyed the wonderful weather and the Fall activities that come with it. Our new neighborhood hosted a party where we met some neighbors and had fun as a community.
Gavin has been asking to be a pumpkin for weeks. Unfortunately, they don't make pumpkin costumes much bigger than 18 months, so I had to make one myself. And after all my efforts, he is thrilled...as you can see. But he got over it and liked it after all.
There was face painting at the party.
Fall also means parent/teacher conference, where I received a glowing report as expected. Ayden's 1st grade teacher said they stopped testing her reading level after she had exceeded a second grade level. I couldn't be more proud of Ayden in her school work.
And another horse pic:
Raegan is a committed walker now. She still tumbles and falls but it is definitely her preferred method. Her personality continues to come out as well as her attitude. She's an interesting mix of mellow and extremely opinionated. Still can't get enough of this sweet babes.
When she's annoyed or mad, she does this face.
And she hates getting her picture taken.
It's been fun comparing the girls in the same outfits. The hand me downs definitely look different on Raegan.
Now that Raegan has 7 teeth, the dentist thought we better get to brushin'. She loves the toothbrush and is super excited when it's her turn.
On a perfect Fall day, I decided to tackle the weeds that we pretended weren't there. Gavin was actually a really big help until he found a lady bug and got side tracked.
I've been doing a bit of preschool work with Gavin. Honestly, I didn't know how this was gonna go. Gavin's attention span can be either great or terrible and he hasn't had much exposure to writing. When I started preschool with Ayden, she struggled to trace a straight line. But Gavin was amazing! He is super diligent and interested and his penmanship is incredible. It's been such a joy and pleasant surprise working with him and seeing what a smart boy he is!
Homemade pizzas on a cold night.
That made me crave Zach's tricky sticks, which I tried to replicate. They were delicious and took me instantly back to college.
