This year was a Barber Christmas and since we have completely out grown Mom and Dad's house, we decided to stay out west this year and rented this amazing cabin at Bear Lake. It obviously was meant to be since it was named the Cambry cabin. There were seven bedrooms and six bathrooms so everyone had their own space and the kids even had a bunk room. The kitchen sat us all at once so we could eat together and the fireplaces kept us warm during the blizzard. The kids had their own play room while the adults enjoyed the fantastic view. It was a picture perfect Christmas.
It snowed quite a bit the first few days we were there, but when the sun came out there was plenty to play in and the kids had a blast.
Meanwhile, we made ornaments for the tree.
The kids took cinnamon roll lessons from Aunt Cole.
and we celebrated Mimi's birthday a bit early.
Gavin was thrilled to be in this pic. He's got the pout face down.
Garrett and Nicole moved into their new home a few weeks before we arrived. It was so fun being their first guests! What a great house!

The kids acted out the Christmas story.
And the pajama elf delivered everyone matching jams.
All the grandkids.
Ayden got her Barbie she wanted.
And Gavin got the cement mixer he's wanted for months.
It was a room full of excitement!
Mimi decked the boys out in FSU gear.
A wonderful day with a wonderful view!
Their faces say it all. It was spectacular.
The road right outside the cabin was pretty steep and perfect for sledding.
Richard and Eve.
Zach drove the kids back up the hill in the truck while they threw snow balls at the adults.
Ayden and Gavin.
Avery and Gavin preferred just riding in the truck.
Garrett and Jack.
Then Zach started towing the kids up the hill on the sleds, which became more fun than sledding down the hill.
Avery and Cambrie on the way up.
Avery coming down.

I took a few pics of the amazing winter wonderland around the cabin.
It was definitely cold out there! That's a negative 24 degrees!
The attempt at the family photo.
It was a wonderful Christmas and no one got sick! Hopefully, the curse has been broken.
We are so blessed to have such an amazing family and enjoy spending time together. The best gift this year was Richard and Jill's decision to move to Colorado next to me! Richard took a job in the hospital only 5 miles from my house! We are so grateful and excited to share our lives with the Talbot's!
Ayden started piano lessons this fall and is really enjoying them. I'm impressed with how fast she has learned. This is her Christmas recital:
