Lisa and Aaron came to visit for a few days to get a change of scenery. We had such a great time hiking in Castlewood Canyon, swimming, playing soccer in the yard, and going to the park. At night we would hang out by the fire and laugh the night away. It was a great reprieve from the stress of all the covid restrictions.
Kids loved looking for crawdads.
Raegan turned 6 this year.
As usual, pancakes in the shape of a 6.
She wanted a cotton candy themed cake.
Raegan had been asking all summer to learn to ride a bike. She had mastered the balance bike and wasn't afraid to get on her big girl bike. We took her to the flat church parking lot and off she went without hesitation. It was the easiest training session yet!
Because of covid and a lack of places to go, we spent a ton of time out on our patio. Our obnoxious neighbors drove me crazy all spring and summer with their pool and music. I couldn't take it any longer, so after a long battle with the HOA, the kids helped me build this privacy screen so it wasn't right in our face. It's actually quite effective.
The sunsets were amazing this summer...until the wildfire smoke occluded the view of the mountains entirely.
We spent a decent amount of time at the pool this summer. This was the last day it was open because an early snow storm was coming the next day.
Turns out the pool is more fun.
