Last week we celebrated a birthday. It was his first and he had no idea what was going on but we celebrated anyway.
James and I were in Utah for a quick trip - my sister, Sara, returned home from her mission. So we got to celebrate James birthday with family - minus Rocky.
His favorite part was being able to celebrate with his cousins. The fun part of having your birthday on St. Patty's day is that a lot of people are celebrating too. So maybe it wasn't exactly for James - it was celebrating and we will take it.
James is still just a little guy. In fact his cousin that is a month younger is all ready taller and bigger....
Weight: 20 lbs, 14 oz
Height: 29 inches
-He finally learned how to crawl properly - special thanks to miss Ruby (who is also 1) a week with her taught James that the wounded army crawl wasn't effective or fast.
-He is starting to use sign language. He will sometimes sign "more" and "milk." But I'm pretty sure he only kinda knows what "more" means.
-He know loves to run with help (thanks Grandpa S)
-He is doing great with his solid foods, some favorites are broccoli, grapes, oranges, strawberries, carrots, Grandma S's homemade bread, and beans.
-He loves to tease.
-He has started to dance
-He wishes he was flexible enough to suck/eat his toes
-He loves to brush his hair, by himself
-He loves his blanket and binkie - sadly for him the later will be leaving soon.
-He loves being social and has started to wave at people
-He is down to two naps
-He will play catch if its a good day
He is so fun and has been laughing so much lately. I love spending my day with him.
The following are photos from the big party. :)

James patiently listening to mom explain how to blow out a candle - sometimes it's harder than it looks.
Birthday hat.
Missing from the photos is Grandma S and me, mom. We both had our photos taken but for the good of this blog and for our own esteem they will not be posted. We were happy to be at the party though.
