Monkey See Monkey Do

James is becoming our little copy cat.

Rocky recently sprained his ankle while playing church ball.  He came home limping.  James saw dad limping and then he started limping and telling me that he was hurt.  Dad put a wrap on his foot so James of course needed one too.

See how hurt he is?

Up close shot showing that this pirate also wears gun holsters.

Note:  The next couple of pictures are not things that James is copying from us.  As fun as it is under the table we just don't fit well....and well the Emperors Clothing shot....what can we say?

This is James most favorite item to wear...his "Emperors Clothing"

March Madness

Normally March is all ready super crazy because of basketball.  Rocky loves to watch the games, I love to watch my bracket - which never seems to do well.  But I love it anyway.

This year we have had COMPLETE and TOTAL March Madness.

We matched for our residency program on March 16th and we celebrated James 2nd birthday on March 17th.  Okay so now that I write it it doesn't sound like much but the anticipation has been killer....for both....for me.  Rocky wasn't as excited as I was about James birthday.

Alabama!!!

So we are headed to Birmingham, Alabama for the next four years.  We are so excited.  I am so scared for the humidity and heat...in the summer....when we move and I'm finishing up the pregnancy.  YIKES!

Happy Birthday James

We had a fun celebration for James 2nd birthday.  I've been so excited about it.  We didn't do anything big, in fact James had to celebrate his birthday with just his mom and dad.  I considered a party and then decided against it.  The night before James birthday we talked about how we were going to have a party the next day.  He was so cute and said "here I come party."

Rocky and I filled his room up with balloons.

Usually when James wakes up he is sitting up in bed calling for me.  Rocky and I were both anxious to see what he would do the morning of his birthday because he LOVES balloons.  So when he woke up he started calling for me.  Rocky and I quickly went in his room and he was still laying down, facing the wall.  He had no idea about the balloons.  When we finally got him to turn around he was so excited.  After some fun with the balloons, we headed downstairs for the beginning of his birthday party.  There were streamers and balloons and presents.  It was so fun.  He loved his party.

At 2 James is 34 in tall and 25.5 lbs.  He made some great progress.  He is just a little guy.

He loves being naked - thus the following pictures.  He tolerates wearing a diaper when he feels like it should be naked time.

He loves milk

He LOVES his friend Miles and often prays for him 3 or 4 times during prayers.

He is a pretty picky eater and doesn't eat much.

He loves talking on the phone - even when no one is there.

He is very sensitive about people being happy and sad, and just wants them to be happy.

He is a great sleeper and still takes 2 naps.

He is loving Dad more and more but Mom is still Number 1.

He is in swimming lessons again and while he doesn't cry this time around - he isn't interested in learning - just wants to play with the toys.  (The pool is cold so I blame that on all our swimming issues)

He loves to be outside - He loves to walk outside - all the time.  Rocky is the best at this, they will often go for hour long walks together.  I just get too tired.

He is talking so much and seems to understand most everything we tell him - except that there isn't a baby in his belly.  Anyway - while he understands a lot he also is getting more and more his own ideas about what he (we) should do.  We have some frustrating moments.

These are his party pictures.

Fun with the Balloons

Some of his presents - including McQueen underwear (over his diaper)

He got a set of golf Clubs that he LOVES

Perfect two year old form

Listening to dad's heart and taking his own temperature.  A future DR.??

Outing with dad.  They both had their clubs and a golf ball.

It's a BOY

I know this is probably old news to lots by now, but it's news to the blog so I had to post.
I'm 23 weeks along and definitely showing.

I'm starting to feel lots better.

I feel this baby move like crazy, way more then I felt James.  In fact I've been able to feel him for a long time now.  The ultrasound tech said it is because of how the placenta is attached.  I know all the details that everyone is dying to know.

James is not understanding that he is going to have a baby brother.  Although he did pray for him tonight and that was pretty sweet.  He thinks his baby brother is in his tummy.  :)

This little one is due July 18th.
