The STACHE
This year Rocky decided to participate in No Shave November. I like the first picture and then for me it gets progressively worse. Yes he did wear the handlebars to work.
16 months/ 17 months
Logan is almost 17 months so I am probably going to confuse the two months so I will just combine them. * this post is a month old....so now he is closer to 18 months. YIKES
Logan received his first hair cute - pretty sure this was a 16 month occurrence. The second I started cutting it I felt like crying. My BABY. He looks a little older. His little mullet was so cute. It was a middle of the back of his head kind of mullet. Nothing down low. I could put that thing in a pony tail. It was time for it to go...the worst part is that I didn't take any pictures. :(
James and Logan are becoming better and better friends/brothers. The love to give hugs to each other and generally like to be in the same room together.
Logan had a little accident on Thanksgiving which knocked his front tooth loose. (thanks to his brother). Because of that I decided that I wouldn't be able to give him his binky. (His teeth were looking bad before the accident and I didn't want the bad to turn to worse) So I laid him down for bed. Gave him all his normal bed things - blanket and rabbit and said good night. He talked to me in his jibber jabber and held up his hands. I knew he was questioning where his binky was. I didn't say anything about it, said good night and left. He didn't cry - just went to sleep. That went 200 times better than I could have imagined. He has been pretty good since. He kept questioning me with his hands at night..I just deflected the question. He isn't sleeping as long but I'm hoping that will change.
He got his first ear infection (17 months)
He LOVES shoes. He LOVES candy. HE LOVES MARSHMALLOWS.
He likes to hit.
He is really into this windmill type of hit that I'm pretty sure he learned from James. He does it to himself. He does it to windows and doors. He does it to me. He does it to the Christmas tree. Basically if it can be hit he feels that I needs to be hit. Windmill style.
He loves to be outside and cries when I tell him no. He thinks that the road is the best place to play.
I love how he clasps his hands behind his back and walks around.
He laughs at us and he laughs at himself
He doesn't say much but seems to understand plenty
He has started to run
He likes to play, he isn't into watching shows. He seems to do pretty well playing by himself. He usually checks in for a hug and then goes back to playing
He is always sad when he wakes up from his nap and James isn't up yet. James is the same way too. He begs and begs for the chance to check on Logan to see if he is awake.
He isn't much into eating these days. He can't be bothered with such things when there is playing to do.
He claps when he is excited about something.
He loves to do what James is doing - lots of Monkey see Monkey do. It is generally awesome when James is doing awesome things. :)
We just love this little boy. We still call him a baby and think he looks like a baby...so we treat him like one.

15 Months
Logan is officially 15 months going on 3. He wants to be all things James - in his own way. He isn't talking English yet but is quite vocal. Most requests sound like "mom." It is hard to distinguish exactly what he wants when everything sounds the same.
He is 21 lbs 8 oz (15%)
30.75 inches tall (45%)
and his head is 18.25 inches (25%)
He had to get 5 shots this go around at the Dr. and I'm pretty sure he won't be happy to go back. I feel like he remembers things well.
He is walking and is starting to get fast.
He loves to play in the toilet and KNOWS that he isn't supposed to. It is actually kind of funny when we catch him. For the most part we try to keep all the bathroom doors closed.
He is still a picky eater. We did add pasta to his acceptable menu.
He thinks it is so funny to push James, probably because James pushes him.
He still thinks I'm the coolest thing around.
He does awesome in his bed and doesn't cry too much to get out. Such a difference from his brother.
He is a champion sleeper these days and so easy to put down. (Hopefully I didn't just jinx myself).
He can handle about 5 pages in a book and then he wants to hold it himself and close it.
He loves to check out all the cupboards and pull stuff out. He is a little tornado.
He is getting a little emotional these days. Cries to be picked up and then cries because he wants to get down.
He still hasn't mastered going down the stairs. Probably because it is too easy for me to pick him up.
He is scared of the garage door when it closes....but it needs some tlc so it scares me a little bit too.
He LOVES to be outside.
He LOVES the ocean. Like LOVES it. Like wants to be in it. He did not get that love from me.
He is getting better and better at climbing. It is so cute to see the triumph in his eyes when he climbs something new.
He is a pointer. He points at everything he wants or is interested in.
When he is happy he is a delight.

Lately
James had his first day of Preschool - It is with one of his best friends. We are just doing it here our home and theirs. James was bummed at first. "But your not my teacher - you are my mom" and "My house isn't school - I need to go to school." He survived - I survived and he called even me "teacher" all during school.
Here is James being a Robot. He built it with his dad and LOVED it.
Here is what he wears underneath the robot get up. It's his brothers pj shorts. They look like undies and fit like undies. He thought it was so funny.
I've been pulling and picking off this Classy wallpaper. It actually wasn't bad - I did it while the kids were taking their baths. Now the walls are white and wanting some color.
Another James selfie - taking photos of himself is probably on his top ten things to do everyday.
Brotherly Love.
One more of Logan - look at those whispys. He is maybe getting enough hair for a hair cut but not really.
14 months
We have a walker. Logan has practiced and practiced and practiced walking. This kiddo has some determination. He loves to carry balls while he walks, which is just what his brother liked to do. Maybe it's a boy thing?
He is getting more teeth. Pretty soon he will have a full mouth. Those pearly whites are cute but if his current look (a few gaps and some turning teeth) is any indication of what his mouth will look like later he will 100% be in braces. 100% We should probably start the fund now.
He is starting to fold his arms and bow his head to pray. Sometimes he needs to do it 50 times during dinner....and most times he wants to hear us say "Amen." There are lots of "Amens" happening during meal times. Somehow it doesn't translate to family prayers.
Logan is a mommas boy - 110%. He cries when anyone other than mom looks at him. Okay it isn't that bad - but if you look like you are going to take him out of mom's arms HE WILL CRY. Even if you are his dad. Right now I'm pretty much the cream of the crop in my boy's eyes. I'm okay with that.
Logan has started his nursery count down. He is four months away and SOOO badly wants to be in nursery with his big brother. They will just miss each other. :(
Logan likes to sit on the potty
He doesn't like sippy cups. He likes mom to give him a cup - and he likes mom to hold the cup.
He is understanding so much and not speaking so much.
He says "momma", "ma", "mmmm"
He used the sign for milk a couple times. Then he decided to drop it cause it's way better having mom just guys what he wants.
He is climbing
He loves to be outside - I really wish the temp. would drop a few more degrees and we would spend more time out there.
He climbs up the stairs well and is learning how to go back down.
He loves to get in the tub - but no longer likes to lay down.
He will put his dirty clothes in the dirty pile.
He loves praise.
He isn't loving bananas as much. He is hard to please when it comes to eating. The sweeter the better.
He points and grunts like crazy
He is still doing two naps a day.
He loves to play with the ipad. He figured out how to turn the screen on and pretty much thinks he is a pro now.
He likes to play catch.
He loves to cuddle his brother's teddy bear and his brother's special blanket. This causes contention.
He sleeps with two binkies.
He wants to do whatever James is doing. This causes contention
He has the cutest smile and gives super sweet hugs and kisses. Love this guy.

Splash!
We are so glad that Splash Pads are in the "in" thing right now and we are so glad that we have a couple to choose from nearby (well you have to drive to get anywhere here in Alabama....so nearby takes us 20-30 minutes depending on traffic).
This is the Splash pad by the Temple. That I discovered isn't really by the Temple. Oh well. We had a great time.
Oh and if it looks like Logan saw more of the camera than James did...you are right. James is super hard to catch these days. While Logan is a little more my speed.
