Splash!

We are so glad that Splash Pads are in the "in" thing right now and we are so glad that we have a couple to choose from nearby (well you have to drive to get anywhere here in Alabama....so nearby takes us 20-30 minutes depending on traffic).

This is the Splash pad by the Temple.  That I discovered isn't really by the Temple.  Oh well.  We had a great time.

Oh and if it looks like Logan saw more of the camera than James did...you are right.  James is super hard to catch these days.  While Logan is a little more my speed.

This was Logan's favorite.  He just kept squealing with delight

more squeals

Right before the big splash

Love that this is a typical pose of Logan's.

13 months.

I should be mowing the lawn, but it's super humid and this seem like the perfect excuse not to.

Logan is 13 months.  I still feel like he looks like a baby so I treat him like one.  I'm always so surprised when he does something unbaby like.

I actually had to pull our the 12 month baby clothes.  The 6-9 month clothes started getting a little too tight.  Sniff sniff.

If you aren't wearing it on your face you are doing it wrong.
Logan is standing these days aaannnnddd he took like three steps yesterday.  But I told him that it wasn't appropriate for my baby to be walking yet so we decided he would wait until he was at least 18 before he started that up again.

His little mouth has EXPLODED with teeth.  He has two bottom molars.  Three teeth on top and 4 on the bottom....and who knows what else.  He doesn't like to show off any of them.

He says mom and mama more consistently.

He is a HUGE green smoothie fan.  Which is good because he refuses veggies in another other way.

He still loves cheese and yogurt and fruit.

He points and if he doesn't get what he points at his life falls apart for at least 30 seconds.  It seems like it is hard to be 13 months old.  Especially when you don't get what you want.

He loves James.  LOVEESSSS him.  Unless of course James doesn't give him something he has pointed at, or James hurts him, or James takes his toys away, or James won't give him the ipad, or James is on mom's lap and Logan feels that he should be the only one on mom's lap.   At that point he doesn't LOVEEEE James.  He only tolerates him at best.  Because of this there is a lot of loveeee and tolerating happening at our house....like every 3 minutes.  It is emotionally exhausting.

He takes two good naps (he is supposed to take two good naps because of the statement above - if they don't happen then MOM jumps on the roller coaster and nothing good happens.)  He goes to bed around 6pm and wakes up when James starts YELLING in the morning.

He is a pretty happy little guy.

He climbs and crawls and is all things mobile.

He loves pulling everything out of the cupboards in the kitchen.  He loves emptying baskets.  He loves to stick his has in the toilet.  He likes to unroll the toilet paper roll.  It is easy to see the rooms that Logan has been in.

He gives HUGE open mouth kisses and lots of hugs.  Lots of love for this little guy.

Photo Booth

Yesterday we discovered that James knows how to use the computer.  Well one program.  We didn't teach him this.  He just started doing it on his own.  Funny Boy.  Bonus points for anyone who sees the Logan photo bomb.
