through childhood trials,

Snow Storm – A Cherita

20180127_155942-1475111918.jpg

footprints in the snow

trails lead to water’s edge
all drawn to tumbling, bubbling melody

on the banks of the creek
remnants of a snow storm..
encrusted in ice

Poem

20171221_124930-43834690.jpg

a scene evokes a thought –

a kernel of a poem

pausing to jot something down –

shadow of a poem

enduring odd stares as I come back –

caught in the moment

grabbing a poem by the tail before it dissipates –

the birth of a poem
