mesmerizing setting sun

in panoramic skies
sitting low
turning day into twilight

gentle waves lap the shore
with gurgle of bubbles
smoothing fine sand
as the waves return
to its dance with the wind

 sun relfects on the sand
the horizon beckons
kissing the ocean’s surface

slowly she slips beyond the edge
then she is gone

relinquishing her hold
on mere mortals

still gazing in awe
