Early attempts to prove an intra-city monorail capacity, as an alternative to Elon Musk’s vision of a managed urban traffic solution offered through his Boring Company, proved to be inadequate in dealing with the weight of the average SUV combined with the weight of its’ average American driver.
Fed-up with his family’s continuous sniping at his driving ability and “route suggestions” Pete finally snapped and put together a version of his SUV that left them to do all the work, and him to sit back and enjoy the view. There were no survivors when his 6-year-old daughter decided that she wanted to “follow the bunny rabbits” and the vehicle went over the edge of a quarry.
Cho-Li and the guys were pretty pumped at being the Motor Pool Company selected to service and maintain the new all-terrain vehicle that that Army would be introducing next year. Their enthusiasm dimmed a little when they discovered the “locking brake problem,” the “gear-sticking problem,” and the “non-standard bolt and fastening systems.” With the new tool kits unavailable for at least another two years the team was not looking forward to the Winter.
In the early 1930’s manufacturers began work on the first generation of SUVs, not, it must be noted, with any great success.
To be honest Porsche’s early attempts at an all-terrain vehicle weren’t without a few teething problems, and after the commercial failure of the Mk3 (pictured above) the company decided to go with the more traditional SUV approach adopted by its competitors.
