Tiddly Inks Tutorial Thursday on friday! :)
HI everyone! I (Larissa) have a tutorial for you today. It is a tutorial for a little gift box that I made. Excuse me for the horrible pictures of the workshop, because I had to take them inside. I also hope that the sizes in inches are correct as I am not used to working with inches. Ok let's start!
You start with a piece of cardstock with a size of 19,5 by 19,5 cm (7 ½ by 7 ½ inch) and you make score lines on 6,5 and 13 cm (2 ½ and 5 inch) on both sides.
Now you have 9 squares and you make score lines in the squares in all 4 corners. Make score lines from corner to corner in all those squares. Use a scoring tool, so you have really good score lines and it will be easy to fold the box.
Now you can fold those little corners just like the picture below.
Fold the corners towards the middle of the box, and I you have done this, the bottom of the box is finished and the only thing you have to do is decorate it.
For the decoration on the inside you have to cut 4 squares with a size of 6 by 6 cm (2 ¼ by 2 ¼ inch) I have used cardstock and stamps to decorate the inside. On the back of those squares I attached a piece of ribbon with a length of 25 cm (10 inch) and I added double sided tape so I can adhere these squares in the box.
This is what the bottom of the box looks like when it is finished.
For the cover of the box I used a piece of cardstock with a size of 15,7 by 15,7 cm ) I have printed the cookie on the cardstock.
Use your scoring tool to make score lines on 4,5 and 11,2 cm ( 1 ¾ and 4 3/8 inch) on all the side of the cover
Use your scissors to cut on 4 of the score lines
Adhere the double sided tape like I did on the picture and glue the cover of the box together. Now your box is finished.
On the cover of the box I added a little bow that I made with brown ribbon
I have added 4 bags with tea in my box and in the middle I placed a little bag with 3 (tiny) chocolate chip cookies.
This is a close up of the bag with the cookies. I wrapped a brown ribbon around it to close it and on one end of the bow I added a cookie and on the other side I added the sentiment.
The size of my little card is 8,5 by 8,5 cm (3 ½ by 3 ½ inch). I used the very cute image cookiebugg.
I hope you enjoyed the tutorial. Have a nice day everyone!

Tiddly Tutorial Thursday - Fabric flowers
Hi everyone. It is thursday and that means we have a new Tiddly Tutorial Thursday for you. This week I (Larissa) am going to show you how you can make fabric flowers. I hope you will enjoy the tutorial.
To make these flowers you have to use a fabric that is not too thick. You have to cut a circle out of the fabric ( I have used a nestabiltie as a guide to cut my circle). Then you have to stitch on the edge with thin thread. Don't go to close to the edge!
If you have stitched all around the edge, you have to take the 2 threads in your hands (actually these are my mums hands :) ) and carefully pull on the thread.
More pulling.....
You have to pull until the middle looks like this and then you can make a knot in your thread. Your flower is almost ready.
Decorate your flower with a button or anything else that you want to use.
I have used a bigger circle (9,5 cm) to create a bigger flower to add on the top of my box.
On my card I used a smaller circle (7 cm)
Well I hope you enjoyed the tutorial! Maybe you can use this tutorial to create a flower so you can enter a card in our Fabric invasion challenge where we want you to use fabric on your cards. :)
