It is firstly a museum and art gallery. It features a rotation of regular exhibits and occasional additions of new and one-time displays.

Secondly, it is a conference center.

Fourthly, and most importantly, all governmental galas occur in it.

Fifth, it is a banquet hall when needed.

Gala Hall is a high-columned, interior, central courtyard hall often used for various events. It is an important early large-scale example of Revival architecture. And based on a design of Other World Renaissance precedents. It is notable for several architectural features, including the spectacular interior columns and a second-level balcony. That balcony is enormous; it has rooms for exhibits and more. The vast interior measures 491 × 289 feet.
